About the Role: Brands in-scope: Oveporexton  Be an active member of the Takeda’s access community and value chain that ensure patients have access to innovative treatments ensuring timely, sustainable reimbursement and uptake through robust payer value propositions, evidence generation, HTA readiness, and effective cross-functional delivery.  Work very closely with Global Access Strategy team to ensure execution within IBU.  Lead and own IBU access strategy, provide strategic inputs for 6 core markets, and execute market access readiness across international markets for Oveporexton. Ensure integrating disease‑area insights, payer expectations, competitive intelligence, and evidence‑generation requirements to inform IBU decisions and maximize patient access in international markets.  Act as a core member of cross‑functional teams, working with global and IBU partners (Commercial, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, HEOR, Global Access & Pricing, Pipeline, etc.) to embed access considerations into key strategic decisions.  Be part of Global Pricing and Access (GPA) function, contributing to advance GPA governance and ways of working, to influencing functional excellence (Access, Pricing, cross‑TA collaboration, capability building) and to shaping the access vision and capability roadmap.  How you will contribute: IBU - Oveporexton Access Business Partner    Plan and execute initiatives across IBU markets to ensure the global access and pricing strategy’s success of Oveporexton in a competitive, highly regulated environment.  Serve as primary point of contact for IBU Local Access teams for Oveporexton; drive access and pricing strategy execution to enable timely patient access, including P&R success through strong HTA readiness and payer negotiation preparedness, as well as sustained value maximization across life cycle management.  Partner with LOCs to set the right ambition for LOCs and guide the LOCs with the scenario planning and access plan development to maximize access opportunities. Provide hands-on guidance for priority markets and high-stakes negotiations.  Support LOCs directly for their value proposition development, negotiation preparation, competitive response, and complex payer interactions.   Support contracting / access levers where relevant (e.g., VBC, Entry agreements, business cases development, patient support approaches), aligned to compliance requirements and corporate governance.  Ensure reporting and transparency of access strategy execution and pricing actions, reimbursement status, payer risks, and readiness KPIs for senior leadership.  Develop an updated IBU access strategy by systematically integrating key insights from leading international congresses and external payer forums within the relevant therapeutic area.  Proactively foster a growth mindset across and beyond P&R/HTA requirements by encouraging Takeda’s access community to engage with the broader external healthcare ecosystem, including patient voice and services, medical partners to leverage further real-world evidence (RWE) and data generation initiatives, publication planning, to adopt digitalization opportunities, and to systematically apprehend evolving legislative developments.  Manage and coordinate budget for assigned assets.  GPA / Global Collaboration  Work closely with Global Pricing & Access Strategy teams to support Pricing & Access optimization by developing analysis, contributing to pricing research, and ensuring P&R guidance is implemented consistently across the IBU.  Anticipate LOE, biosimilar/generic impact, expansion of indication, external pressure, and competitive responses unique to the TA working closely with the LOE offices.  Act as a core member of cross‑functional teams, working with global and IBU partners (Commercial, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, HEOR, Global Access & Pricing, Pipeline, etc.) to embed access considerations into key strategic decisions.  Connect local, IBU, and global teams to strengthen the value proposition through fit‑for‑purpose deliverables (e.g., value dossiers, health economic evidence, objection handler, negotiation playbook, training) that improve value perception and ensure consistent, high‑quality execution across markets.   Collaborate with medical and evidence generation / HEOR teams to identify evidence gaps and integrate timely access needs within the evidence strategy, ensuring new clinical data and RWE strengthens payer value narratives (contributing to business cases to support prioritization of evidence generation as needed).  Future Readiness / capability  Monitor and interpret market access trends, reimbursement policy changes, and coverage decisions; identify payer evidence gaps; and translate insights into actions on emerging opportunities and risks, in partnership with GPA access strategy and pipeline teams.  Lead a multi‑layer TA Access function across the IBU to ensure cross‑market consistency, execution excellence, share practices and accelerated access outcomes; define TA‑specific capabilities and implement the agreed operating model in partnership with Global Access, Global Pricing, IBU Medical, MCE, and IBU Regulatory.  Equip, guide and train local teams/partners with processes, standards, tools, and decision frameworks to build high-quality LOCs access excellence in execution.  Lead and be a role model to digital capability adoption throughout the access community  Develop and run mock negotiations within the specific TA and orchestrate capability training, and simulation exercises for markets.  Foster collaboration and best practice sharing across GPA teams, access and cross-functions and geographies partners.  Lead and contribute to strategic initiatives sponsored by the GPA function or Takeda, broadening organizational impact, strengthening cross-functional alignment, and driving enterprise value (mAI access – CXF – JHTA – VBHC ...)   Skills: Solid experience in Local and preferably Regional Market Access & Pricing, with demonstrated leadership across TA areas and complex payer environments.   Proven ability to shape TA‑level access strategy across the full asset lifecycle (launch, inline, LOE), including advisory to senior governance bodies.   Deep knowledge of global payer systems, reimbursement pathways and pricing dynamics, particularly across Europe and Intercontinental markets.   Strong portfolio readiness expertise, including payer scenario planning, pricing insights & trends, evidence requirements, and competitive access risk management.   Advanced capability to integrate clinical, HEOR, RWE and competitive insights into clear payer value propositions and access decision‑making.   Demonstrated matrix leadership, working effectively with Global Access, Pricing, Medical, Regulatory and Commercial partners and being at ease to navigate a complex matrix of multi stakeholders.  Project/program management and prioritization capability across parallel workstreams and deadlines.   People and capability cross-functional influencing experience, including leading multi‑layer, geographically dispersed Access teams and driving functional capability development.   Learning agility to adapt to new assets within the assigned TA, portfolio or any new situation, continuing to lead within changes and uncertainties and deliver results.   Strategic thinking: Ability to think strategically and make sound, forward-looking decisions, based on strong business acumen to identify challenges and opportunities and drive impact.  Communication: Ability to communicate effectively and influence diverse global and Local stakeholders with strong interpersonal and influencing skills in a multicultural, international environment and proven ability to build alignment.  Resilience with ambiguity and cross-cultural collaboration across international markets/partners.  Digital and AI-forward: Experience leveraging digital platforms, data analytics, and AI-driven tools to enhance decision-making and access strategy execution is a plus  Empowering our people to shine At Takeda, we earn the trust of society and our customers through our values of Takeda-ism: Integrity, Fairness, Honesty, Perseverance.
