Position Summary
You will lead government affairs activities for our vaccines team in Mexico. You will build and maintain trusted relationships with government officials, health institutions, and community stakeholders. You will shape public policy conversations and help create the conditions for broad vaccine access. We value collaboration, clear thinking, and a strong commitment to public health. Responsibilities
This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:
- Develop and implement government affairs strategies that support vaccine access across federal and state health systems.
- Build and strengthen relationships with government decision makers, health authorities, professional associations, and community leaders.
- Monitor and interpret policy, regulatory and procurement changes. Translate their impact into clear recommendations for internal teams.
- Support cross-functional work to align government engagement with market access, medical, commercial and supply planning.
- Lead stakeholder engagement activities, including briefings, consultations, and public forums, to represent GSK’s public health positions.
- Prepare clear, evidence-based materials for government audiences and support transparent dialogue on value, safety and implementation.
Why You?
This role is based in Mexico and is hybrid, with an expectation to work from the office several days per week and travel within the country as needed.
Basic Qualification
We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals:
- Bachelor’s degree in public policy, political science, health policy, law, public health, or related field.
- Minimum five years’ experience in government affairs, public policy or government relations, preferably in healthcare or pharmaceuticals.
- Proven track record engaging senior government officials and health institutions in Mexico.
- Strong understanding of Mexico’s health system, procurement and budget processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in Spanish and professional working proficiency in English.
- Ability to work collaboratively across functions and communicate complex topics in clear, concise language.
Preferred Qualification
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
- Advanced degree in public policy, public health, law or related discipline.
- Experience working with vaccine policy, immunization programs, or national immunization committees.
- Experience drafting position briefs, policy submissions or testimony for public bodies.
- Established networks within federal and state health agencies.
- Experience managing stakeholder engagement plans and public consultations.
- Familiarity with health economics, health technology assessment or procurement frameworks.
