As Viatris continues to strengthen its innovative portfolio and prepare for upcoming launches, we are looking for a Global Omnichannel Innovation & Launch Portfolio Lead to join the Global Omnichannel & Customer Engagement team for a temporary assignment of a minimum of six months.

The role will be exclusively dedicated to innovative products, pipeline assets and new product launches, ensuring that customer engagement and omnichannel principles are embedded early in launch strategy and translated into actionable, scalable and measurable engagement models.

Working at the intersection of Global Marketing, Global Launch Excellence, Medical, Sales, Market Access, Data & Analytics, and priority markets, the role will help design how Viatris engages customers before, during and after launch.

The successful candidate will act as the Global Omnichannel strategic partner for innovation and launches, connecting brand strategy with customer experience, Field Force engagement, digital channels, content, data and emerging technologies.

 

Key responsibilities for this role include:

1. Embed Omnichannel into Innovation & Launch Strategy

• Partner with Global Brand and Global Launch Teams to integrate Customer Engagement and Omnichannel strategy from the earliest stages of launch planning.
• Translate brand strategy, customer insights and launch objectives into clear Customer Engagement strategies, journeys and activation principles.
• Collaborate with other stakeholders to define how personal and non-personal engagement should complement each other across the different phases of the launch.
• Help teams determine the optimal channel mix, sequencing, cadence and role of each touchpoint across the customer journey.
• Ensure that customer experience and engagement requirements are considered alongside traditional brand, medical, access and Field Force launch planning.

 

2. Design Innovative Launch Customer Journeys

• Lead the design of end-to-end customer journeys for priority innovative assets, from pre-launch through launch and post-launch acceleration.
• Identify the critical customer moments, information needs, barriers and engagement opportunities across the launch lifecycle.
• Design with the different stakeholders integrated engagement models combining Field Force, CRM, digital channels, scientific engagement, events, websites, email, social/media where appropriate, and emerging channels.
• Ensure digital engagement prepares, complements and follows Field Force interactions, rather than operating as a separate activity.
• Explore opportunities for greater personalization and dynamic engagement based on customer behaviours and signals.
• Explore the opportunity to leverage current digital/OC ecosystem for patients

 

3. Connect Launches with Viatris' New Omnichannel Ecosystem

Act as the bridge between innovative launch requirements and Viatris' evolving commercial capabilities, including:

• CRM and Customer Data
• Content management tool ( New)
• Digital and non-personal channels
• Data, Analytics and Performance Measurement
• AI-enabled Customer Engagement capabilities

Translate launch needs into clear business requirements and ensure that new capabilities are leveraged where they can create meaningful customer or business value.

The role will help connect the upstream launch and content strategy with downstream engagement, orchestration and execution.

 

4. Partner with Priority Launch Markets

• Work closely with priority and early-launch markets to co-create locally relevant Customer Engagement models within global strategic principles.
• Bring market, customer and Field Force insights back into Global Launch and Brand Teams.
• Support markets in translating global engagement strategies into actionable launch plans.
• Identify differences in customer ecosystems, channel maturity, access models and Go-to-Market approaches that require local adaptation.
• Facilitate strong Global ↔ Local collaboration, accelerating learning and avoiding unnecessary duplication.

Global defines common principles and scalable foundations. Markets bring customer and ecosystem insights. Together, they co-create the engagement model required for launch success.

 

 

 

5. Drive Launch Readiness & Execution Excellence

• Recommend the Omnichannel / Customer Engagement launch readiness framework for innovative products.
• Establish clear milestones, dependencies and readiness criteria across customer engagement capabilities.
• Identify potential execution gaps early and coordinate with relevant Global and Local teams to address them.
• Ensure that customer journeys, content, channels, platforms, data and measurement are sufficiently ready ahead of launch.
• Support launch teams during critical launch periods to identify issues, opportunities and required adjustments.

 

6. Establish Measurement & Continuous Optimization

• Partner with Data & Analytics and Global Brand Teams to define Customer Engagement KPIs upfront, linked where possible to launch and business objectives.
• Establish measurement approaches across reach, engagement, customer progression, channel performance and orchestration.
• Use customer and channel signals to identify opportunities to optimize engagement during the launch.
• Support the transition from campaign reporting toward continuous, data-driven Customer Engagement optimization.
• Capture learnings across innovative launches and translate them into actionable recommendations for future launches.

 

7. Build a Scalable Viatris Omnichannel Launch Framework

A key deliverable of the assignment will be to convert experience from individual launches into reusable Viatris capabilities in close collaboration with the launch excellence team.

 

The minimum qualifications for this role are:

• Significant experience in pharmaceutical marketing, omnichannel, digital, customer engagement, or launch excellence.
• Demonstrated experience supporting new product launches and/or innovative brands.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical Go-to-Market models and the interaction between Marketing, Field Force, Medical and Market Access.
• Experience designing customer journeys and integrated Field + Digital engagement strategies or for pure digital activation.
• Good understanding of CRM, customer data, segmentation, personalization, content and marketing automation.
• Ability to translate strategic ambitions into practical, executable and measurable plans.
• Experience working across Global, and Local teams in a complex matrix organization.
• Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead without formal authority.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving and evolving environment.
• Strong analytical mindset and focus on measurable business impact.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Fluent English.
