Job Description Join Takeda as the Global Market Access Strategy, Franchise Head out of our Cambridge, MA office. Where you will lead Global Market Access Strategy for an assigned franchise within Neuroscience, spanning pipeline, launch and major lifecycle management opportunities. Shape and execute global access strategies that maximize the value of our innovations and support timely patient access around the world. You will lead and develop a team of Global Market Access Strategy Leads. Integrate payer perspectives into development and commercialization decisions, ensuring that evidence, pricing, access, timing and executability trade-offs inform asset, franchise and portfolio choices. You will operate as part of a highly integrated Global Access Strategy organization with one unified payer voice. Drive launch readiness and implementation support across core IBU markets, represent Global Pricing & Access in global asset governance and cross-functional development and commercial teams, and partner closely with US Market Access, Global Pricing, IBU Access & Value, R&D, Global Medical, Strategy and Portfolio Development, and Local Operating Company teams. How you will contribute: •Set and lead franchise Global Market Access Strategy across pipeline, launch and major lifecycle management opportunities. • Shape and execute global access strategies that maximize the value of innovation and support timely, sustainable patient access around the world. • Integrate payer perspectives and associated evidence, pricing, access, timing and executability trade-offs into development and commercialization decisions. • Lead, coach and develop a team of Global Market Access Strategy Leads; set priorities, allocate resources and build franchise and functional capabilities. • Drive launch readiness and support implementation across core IBU markets, with clear roles, early market input and scalable tools. • Represent Global Pricing & Access within global asset governance and cross-functional development and commercial teams. • Generate forward-looking insights on payer ecosystems, competitive dynamics, value drivers, HTA requirements and policy trends across major markets and relevant archetypes. • Integrate payer and HTA requirements into Target Product Profiles, clinical development plans, integrated evidence plans, regulatory pathways and launch plans. • Drive high-quality global access deliverables, including early pricing and access strategy, Target Value Profiles, Market Access Plans, payer value stories, Global Value Dossiers, objection handlers, negotiation pathways and readiness plans, as applicable by asset stage. • Ensure one unified payer voice through close partnership with US Market Access, Global Pricing, IBU Access & Value, R&D, Global Medical, Strategy and Portfolio Development, and Local Operating Company teams. • Provide strategic input to disease-area strategy, portfolio prioritization, business development and external innovation, including opportunity assessment and due diligence where relevant. • Champion collaborative leadership, enterprise mindset, innovation, digital and AI-enabled insights, scenario planning and continuous improvement. • Own franchise access priorities, operating plan and budget, and proactively identify, manage and escalate material risks, opportunities and trade-offs.  Minimum Qualifications/Requirements • University degree required; advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., MBA, MPH, MPA, PharmD, PhD or equivalent) preferred. • Extensive pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience, with deep expertise in global, regional and/or key-market access, pricing, reimbursement, HTA and payer evidence strategy. • Demonstrated leadership of people and cross-functional teams in complex global matrix organizations, including talent development, coaching and capability building. • Track record of shaping product development, evidence generation, value strategy, launch readiness and lifecycle access for specialty and/or rare-disease portfolios. • Strong understanding of payer systems, HTA frameworks, pricing and reimbursement pathways across major markets, including the US, Europe, Japan and China. • Ability to synthesize clinical, economic, epidemiologic, payer, policy, competitive and commercial evidence into clear strategic choices and executable recommendations. • Strong business and financial acumen, including portfolio prioritization, scenario planning, forecasting and value trade-off assessment. • Exceptional collaboration, stakeholder management, negotiation, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to align senior leaders without direct authority. • Comfort operating with ambiguity and limited information; sound judgment, decisive problem solving and disciplined risk management. • Demonstrated commitment to patient focus, integrity, enterprise leadership, innovation and effective use of analytics, digital platforms and AI-enabled tools. • Franchise experience in Specialty Care is preferred, aligned with the assigned role. • Ability to travel internationally and domestically as required; hybrid classification subject to applicable company policy and local requirements. We are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices.  For Location: Boston, MA U.S. Base Salary Range: $212,000.00 - $333,190.00 The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position.
