The Associate Director, Franchise Lead - Hematology – based in Riyadh - will lead the dedicated Hematology Sales and Marketing teams across KSA to achieve sales performance goals and key performance metrics for franchise assets. This role is responsible for working closely with Alliance partners and other key local and global BMS functions to drive our strategy for the current & future Hematology portfolio, including CAR-T and CELMoDs, in addition to Thalassemia. The franchise scope covers Lymphoma, Multiple Myeloma, Thalassemia, and MDS.
Responsibilities:
Full KSA Hematology franchise PnL management.
Define and deliver a clear commercial vision and strategy for the Hematology franchise and its current & future assets across KSA.
Shape the Hematology culture and build the capability required to deliver on the vision/strategy.
Prioritize strategic growth levers and drive strategic and tactical plans with insight-based decision-making to maximize the potential of the franchise assets.
Building the new launches strategy across KSA for the coming new launches in Hematology space (CAR-T & CELMoDs) and Thalassemia.
Drive clear and focused competitive differentiation across the franchise assets within the Hematology space, covering Lymphoma, Multiple Myeloma, Thalassemia, and MDS.
Recruit (as appropriate), coach, and develop a high-performing sales and marketing management team; engage and motivate team members while effectively handling conflict and under-performance.
Drive the development and implementation of local business unit and BMS enterprise initiatives within the franchise to build local capabilities and achieve business goals.
Ensure a rigorous performance management culture is in place, supported by appropriate coaching, processes & platforms.
Build and maintain excellent stakeholder networks and relationships internally and externally across KSA to drive the business forward.
Apply analytical evaluations to report on sales force performance and design action plans to leverage opportunities and address key issues.
Build and continually improve the customer model to deliver a differentiated customer experience.
Ensure the franchise strategy is aligned with and contributes to broader local business unit and BMS enterprise objectives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including BMS enterprise functions, to drive local business unit initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Ensure business objectives and practices are fully compliant with relevant laws, regulations, and BMS standards of business conduct and ethics.
Qualifications & Experience:
Tertiary or equivalent qualifications in science, pharmacy, or related areas.
At least 10 years’ experience in relevant roles within the pharmaceutical or related industry (preferred experience in hematology therapeutic area).
Solid experience in leading pharmaceutical sales and marketing teams: recruitment, coaching, and developing teams to superior performance.
Sound marketing/business acumen.
Proven ability to engage an organization around a brand strategy/vision.
Sound strategic thinking and understanding of core marketing and selling principles/techniques.
Deep understanding of sales force motivational drivers and experience with the implementation of reward and recognition strategies/programs.
Deep insight into the specialist environment (hospital and private practice): customers, networks, access, and relevant departments.
Proven track record in building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers by working cross-functionally.
Strong leadership profile and excellent communication, selling, influencing, and negotiation skills
Demonstrated ability to persuade others to accomplish challenging goals & objectives.
Proven experience in People development - assessment of performance, supporting growth, and transparent conversations.
Various business support/Veeva (CRM systems and tools) knowledge.

Excellent command of oral and written English and Arabic.
