The Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) serves as a trusted partner to healthcare providers and office staff, helping optimize patient access to the argenx portfolio across both the medical and pharmacy benefit channels. This customer-facing role is responsible for delivering reimbursement education, access support, and patient services expertise to healthcare providers and their staff while navigating the evolving payer landscape.

The FRM proactively engages healthcare providers through live, in-person interactions and virtual engagements to support patient access, reimbursement education, and account-specific access strategies. The role requires a deep understanding of commercial and government payer policies, benefit design, prior authorization requirements, claims adjudication, appeals processes, and site-of-care considerations.

Success in this role requires exceptional relationship-building skills, strong strategic thinking, and a commitment to cross-functional collaboration. The FRM partners closely with Patient Support Services, Regional Account Directors, Distribution, Market Head, Business Leader, Market Access, and other internal stakeholders to deliver a seamless customer experience and help remove barriers to therapy access.

The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience supporting specialty therapies under both medical and pharmacy benefit reimbursement models and thrives in a fast-paced, highly visible environment focused on customer engagement and patient outcomes.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

Customer Engagement, Access & Reimbursement Support

• Serve as the primary reimbursement and patient access resource for healthcare providers and staff within the assigned territory, building trusted relationships through in-person and virtual engagement.
• Educate customers on patient access, reimbursement, coverage policies, prior authorizations, claims, appeals, billing and coding considerations, specialty pharmacy processes, and available patient support resources.
• Develop account-specific access strategies, provide guidance on reimbursement challenges, and help providers navigate access barriers in accordance with company policy.
• Manage complex reimbursement issues and escalations with urgency and professionalism while sharing customer insights and payer trends to inform business strategy and improve the provider and patient experience.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Partner with Patient Services, Case Management, Market Head, Business Leader, Market Access, and other stakeholders to address access barriers, coordinate account strategies, and deliver a consistent customer experience.
• Participate in case reviews, escalation management, and ongoing collaboration to support timely patient access and organizational learning.

Territory & Business Management

• Develop and execute territory plans aligned with customer needs, business priorities, and access objectives.
• Utilize CRM tools, data analytics, and reporting to document activities, identify opportunities, track performance, and effectively manage territory priorities and travel.

Operational Excellence

• Demonstrate a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to addressing patient access challenges.
• Navigate complex account dynamics, manage conflict constructively, and collaborate effectively to achieve positive outcomes for patients, providers, and the organization.
• Conduct all activities in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, company policies, and argenx values.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with 5+ years of reimbursement, patient access, market access, specialty pharmacy, or related healthcare experience.
• Demonstrated expertise supporting therapies reimbursed under both medical and pharmacy benefits, including strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, prior authorizations, claims, appeals, and patient access pathways.
• Proven ability to build productive relationships with healthcare providers and office staff, coupled with strong communication, presentation, organizational, problem-solving, and customer engagement skills.
• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating across cross-functional teams to drive patient access solutions and business objectives.
• Experience in neurology, immunology, rare disease, specialty biologics, or other complex specialty therapeutic areas.
• Knowledge of buy-and-bill and specialty pharmacy distribution models, infusion reimbursement, site-of-care optimization, and payer management strategies.
• Demonstrated success in highly collaborative environments, utilizing CRM systems, data analytics, and customer insights to inform account strategy and engagement
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned geography.
• Must reside within the assigned geography.
