Join us as a Facilities Coordinator II and contribute to global science and healthcare. In this role, you'll ensure smooth operation of our facilities while supporting our mission to enable customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer. You'll coordinate essential facility services, maintain building systems, and create an optimal work environment for our teams. This position combines facilities management expertise with customer service excellence, requiring both technical knowledge and strong interpersonal skills.
Essential Functions:
Performs general facility support tasks related to one or multiple functions, such as building security issues and access system maintenance, shipping and receiving, distribution of mail to employees, furniture and equipment moves, and conference room set up.
Responds to facility-related emergencies as assigned.
Coordinates assigned activities with outside contractors and vendors, as needed.
Education and Experience:
Preferred Fields of Study: Facilities Management, Business Administration, or related field
Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to at least 2 years).
Experience with shipping/receiving operations and inventory management
Technical/vocational certifications in building systems or facilities management a plus
In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to follow directions and perform tasks efficiently and accurately
Consistently positive attitude and the ability to interact effectively with others
Excellent communication (written and oral) and strong customer service skills
Solid computer proficiency
Thorough understanding of office equipment and machinery
May require working knowledge of building and maintenance such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC and construction codes
May require thorough knowledge of shipping service operations and software such as FedEx, UPS, etc.
Strong organizational skills with ability to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements a plus
Available to respond to facility emergencies as needed
Strong problem-solving skills and maintenance planning ability
Ability to work independently while supporting team objectives
Physical mobility to perform building inspections and maintenance tasks
