<p>Vicarious Surgical is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team in Bangalore, India. This individual will be employed by a Professional Employer Organization (PEO), but doing work specifically for Vicarious Surgical. This role will be tasked with supporting electrical development of equipment associated with our surgical robot.</p> <p>Vicarious Surgical is a US based next generation robotics company developing a disruptive technology with the goal of increasing the efficiency of surgical procedure, improving patient outcomes, and reducing healthcare costs.</p> <p>This is a terrific opportunity for an engineer to join our company at a very exciting time and be a key member of a team of mission-driven and kind individuals with diverse experiences to lead Vicarious into its next phase of market disruption. </p> <p><strong>Working hours of Monday through Friday (Office hours start at 4PM to ensure significant overlap with US hours)</strong></p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Manage a moderate scope of work including ownership of some subsystems within a larger piece of equipment.</li> <li>Ensure all technical documentation is accurate, comprehensive, and up-to-date.</li> <li>Define test objectives, methodologies, and success criteria to ensure thorough evaluation.</li> <li>Analyze test results, identify issues, and provide recommendations for improvements.</li> <li>Contribute to the design and development of test fixtures as needed.</li> <li>Support prototype assembly and modifications to meet design specifications.</li> <li>Work with internal and external resource to produce highly functional prototypes</li> </ul> <p><strong>Skills Needed</strong></p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in Altium Designer required, with demonstrated ability to create and refine schematics, optimize complex PCB layouts, and accurately maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).</li> <li>Understanding of Design for Manufacturing, Design for Inspection, and various assembly techniques required</li> <li>Comfort with and understanding of the interplay between various components of a complex, electromechanical system and collaboration with multiple functional groups desired </li> <li>Experience with medical device product development and the 510(k) submission process preferred</li> <li>Prior experience with test strategies to advance from prototypes to finished products helpful</li> <li>Ability to work independently and autonomously when necessary</li> <li>Ability to effectively communicate ideas and give/receive constructive feedback</li> <li>Prior experience working on a Robotics Systems and/or human input devices is a plus</li> </ul> <p><strong>About You</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field</li> <li>4 + years experience with Bachelor’s Degree</li> <li>2 + years experience with Master’s Degree</li> <li>Passion for excellence in product development</li> <li>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li> <li>Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.</li> <li>Be a helpful, collaborative team member</li> <li>Enthusiasm, willingness to learn and a positive attitude!</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Together, we share a love for learning and we are passionate teachers.  As a company, we set ambitious goals and individually, we share in that ambition. </p>
