We are seeking a Director of Product Engineering for Digital Marketing and Content Management with a deep focus on Digital Marketing and Content Management Technologies SaaS/Cloud based solutions including Veeva Vault, Adobe (Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics), Sales Force Marketing Cloud, Tealium (Tag Management, IQ, AudienceStream), Claravine, DAM (OrangeLogic), CIAM (Gigya/SAP CDC), Sprinklr, social, media and programmatic.. This role will oversee the end-to-end engineering lifecycle of SaaS products, from design and development to deployment and optimization. As a technical leader, you will guide and lead global teams in a managed services environment, driving and supporting both product engineering and adoption of digital martech.
You will be responsible for leading and providing management, vendor management, service management, delivery oversight, design authority, design, development, and deployment of digital experiences for healthcare professional and patients globally using the technologies listed above, must ensure scalability, security, and compliance with Pharma regulations. This is a highly impactful role requiring strong leadership, technical expertise in digital technologies including traditional channels (web, emails, messaging channels), social and media technologies while also leading senior development teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivery Leadership
- Drive the technical strategy for content creation and approval, customer digital customer engagement through omnichannel, ensuring alignment with business goals, industry regulations, customer needs, local and global privacy regulations
- Provide Delivery oversight, vendor oversight, design authority and service management for applications in scope
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of customer journeys leveraging Adobe, Sales Force, Tealium, Social and Media solutions to improve customer engagement
- Manage end-to-end product lifecycles, from conceptualization and architecture to **deployment and ongoing optimization**, ensuring high standards of quality, scalability, and compliance.
- Ensure adherence to Pharma industry regulations (e.g., GxP, HIPAA) by embedding compliance and security standards
- Ensure adherence to local and global regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, Accessibility, privacy, cookie consent) by embedding compliance on digital customer journeys.
- Lead the integration of digital MarTech with sales and commercial platforms through cloud technologies, such as Azure, GCP and ensure solutions are cloud-native, scalable, and resilient.
- Follow best practices, architecture recommendation to enable seamless data exchange and functional alignment
- Work closely with martech vendors to monitor system performance, identify improvement opportunities, optimize license consumption, reliability, and security.
Leadership and management
- Lead the product engineering team guiding a global team of developers and principal engineers in a managed services environment to deliver high-quality solutions and SaaS products
- Leadership, Collaboration & Execution - Lead a high-performing team of senior engineers. Partner with Product, Engineering, and Business Leaders to align technology with Pharma commercial strategy and product roadmaps. Act as a trusted advisor to stake executives, translating technical vision into business impact.
- Provide thought leadership on emerging technologies in digital and content management technologies and guide the team in adopting best practices and new innovations.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to senior developers and engineers, fostering a collaborative, innovative, and results-driven team culture.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Collaborate with product managers, architecture, business leaders, and stakeholders to define roadmaps and drive continuous product innovation
- Manage vendor relationships, ensuring successful implementation of **third-party integrations** and external services
- Provide vendor management oversight for strategic partners to ensure delivery, service and operations KPIs are being met
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in web development, social, media, digital campaign execution with a strong focus on **Adobe, Tealium, Salesforce, Veeva and Pharma** with overall 18+ years of experience
- 5+ years of leadership experience, managing global teams in a managed services model delivering solutions at scale
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field.
- Experience in GxP Pharma industry regulations and compliance requirements
- Strong background in **cloud-native architectures** (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices, and integration technologies.
- Experience with Java, Apex(Salesforce development, RESTful APIs and middleware technologies for seamless system integration.
- Proven ability to design, implement, and optimize **cloud-based solutions** with a focus on scalability, security, and high availability
- Strong background in **Agile development** methodologies and leading cross-functional teams in fast-paced, global environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with senior stakeholders and business partners.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Certifications in **Salesforce, Adobe, Tealium, Veeva and cloud platforms** (e.g., AWS, Azure).
