As we build toward an exciting future, we remain committed to advancing education, awareness, and engagement for APOL1 mediated kidney disease (AMKD) and chronic kidney disease (CKD).&nbsp; As the Digital Media Intern, Patient Advocacy, you will support the Community Engagement team in advancing education, awareness, and patient focused communication related to&nbsp;APOL1&nbsp;(AMKD)&nbsp;and CKD.&nbsp; You will help identify and develop ways to creatively engage with patients, caregivers, and community partners.&nbsp; Key Responsibilities&nbsp; <ul> <li>Develop impactful, engaging social media and digital content tailored to&nbsp;the&nbsp;APOL1 and CKD communities.&nbsp;</li> <li>Create the&nbsp;patient centric campaign, including messaging, visuals, and outreach&nbsp;strategy&nbsp;to effectively reach and resonate with diverse patient audiences.&nbsp;</li> <li>Support digital storytelling and awareness efforts highlighting&nbsp;patient&nbsp;voices and APOL1 education.&nbsp;</li> <li>Collaborate with&nbsp;cross functional&nbsp;partners to ensure all content aligns with compliance, brand, and&nbsp;patient centric&nbsp;standards.&nbsp;</li> <li>Track performance metrics and insights to refine content and outreach.&nbsp;</li> <li>Contribute to measuring the impact of community engagement activities.&nbsp;</li> </ul> Qualifications&nbsp; <ul> <li>Current student or recent graduate (no earlier than&nbsp;Late May&nbsp;- Mid&nbsp;June 2026) from an accredited college/university pursuing at least a bachelor’s degree.&nbsp;</li> <li>Preferred major or coursework in&nbsp;Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Public Health,&nbsp;Journalism&nbsp;or related fields.&nbsp;</li> <li>Highly organized&nbsp;self-starter&nbsp;with strong project management and attention to detail.&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently and collaboratively.&nbsp;</li> <li>Strong interpersonal communication skills and comfort working across teams.&nbsp;</li> <li>Demonstrated initiative, adaptability, creativity, and willingness to learn.&nbsp;</li> <li>Proficiency&nbsp;in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)&nbsp;and&nbsp;digital design tools.&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to travel to San Francisco at least twice during the internship&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Role that may require&nbsp;weekly in person&nbsp;meetings&nbsp;in the Atlanta Metro Area,&nbsp;some evening and weekend availability. &nbsp;</li> </ul> What You Will Gain&nbsp; <ul> <li>Hands-on experience shaping patient centered advocacy digital strategies.&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience creating meaningful content to support awareness and education efforts.&nbsp;</li> <li>Exposure to&nbsp;community engagement&nbsp;activities&nbsp;that&nbsp;influence patient empowerment and health journeys.&nbsp;</li> <li>Opportunities to collaborate&nbsp;cross functionally&nbsp;and develop professional skills in a&nbsp;real-world&nbsp;environment.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <h2>The Program&nbsp;</h2> As an intern at Maze, you will work closely with experienced industry professionals and gain valuable, hands-on, full-time work experience.
