Real-World & Clinical Data Strategy powers better decision-making and evidence generation across Roche Product Development, helping teams use clinical, operational and real-world data to accelerate scientific progress for patients.
Within Data Governance and Operations, the Master and Operational Data Team builds the foundations that make data trusted, reusable and ready for future innovation.
As a Data Steward, you will help ensure key data assets are documented, governed and accessible across the product development lifecycle. You will connect data to business processes, support master and operational data standards, and strengthen the quality, usability and trustworthiness of data across Roche.
You will:
Strengthen trusted data foundations by maintaining documentation across key data domains, including study operational, scientific and medical affairs data.
Support data governance in practice through metadata standards, reference data, lineage tracking, conceptual data models and catalogue management.
Improve data quality and reuse by contributing to lifecycle management, quality controls and metadata enrichment.
Connect data to business context by supporting data mapping, classification and modelling linked to ways of working and processes.
Enable FAIR data principles so data is findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable across teams.
Collaborate across functions to improve visibility, accessibility and usability of critical data assets.
Support compliance and trust by applying relevant privacy, security and regulatory expectations, including GDPR and HIPAA where appropriate.
Who you are
You bring a thoughtful, detail-focused approach to data stewardship and enjoy turning complex data environments into clear, usable and governed assets.
You have:
A degree, advanced qualification or equivalent practical background in Data Science, Bioinformatics, Life Sciences, Information Science, Information Management or a related field.
Experience working with data management, metadata curation, master data or data governance in a life sciences, healthcare, scientific or regulated environment.
Familiarity with tools or approaches for data lineage, cataloguing, data quality, versioning or master data management.
An understanding of FAIR data principles, semantic modelling and foundational data governance practices.
The ability to explain technical concepts clearly to different audiences.
A collaborative mindset, with respect for different perspectives in a global working environment.
Preferred
Exposure to clinical operations, Phase I–IV studies or scientific/operational data domains.
Experience contributing to agile teams, platform implementation or data product initiatives.
