Overview
Iovance Biotherapeutics aims to be the global leader in innovating, developing and delivering tumour-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) therapy for people with cancer. We are pioneering a transformational approach to treating cancer by harnessing the ability of the human immune system to recognise and attack diverse cancer cells in each patient. The company’s first product, AMTAGVI (lifileucel), an autologous T-cell therapy using TIL, was recently approved by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) and is indicated for the treatment of advanced melanoma. Iovance is preparing to launch this novel treatment in the Australian market.
The Commercial Lead, Australia is the senior commercial leader accountable for establishing, commercialising and scaling Iovance’s business in the Australian market. This role owns the Australian commercial strategy and profit-and-loss performance, including revenue, operating expenses, forecasting, resource allocation and achievement of business objectives for AMTAGVI and Proleukin. The Commercial Lead will direct the full sales cycle—from market development, account planning, referral generation and patient identification through treatment-centre activation, completed patient infusions, revenue generation and ongoing account growth. This individual will report directly to the SVP, Global Access, Operations and Proleukin.
The Commercial Lead will lead the authorisation and commercial activation of AMTAGVI treatment centres and provide operational and quality oversight after authorisation. The individual will build executive and clinical relationships across treatment centres and referral networks; ensure medical, nursing, laboratory, pharmacy, quality and administrative stakeholders are prepared to deliver TIL therapy; and align internal functions to move eligible patients from identification and referral through tumour procurement, manufacturing coordination, treatment scheduling, completed infusion and revenue recognition.
As the senior business leader for Australia, the individual will set the country commercialisation strategy, lead launch and market development, and be accountable for commercial performance in the near term and in preparation for national public access. The role will represent the Australian business in global planning, investment, forecasting and performance discussions and will build the commercial capabilities and organisation required as the market grows.
