Together, we'll ask "why not?" and help reengineer the future of biopharma. At BridgeBio, we value curiosity and experimentation—including the ethical & thoughtful use of AI to improve clarity, speed, and quality of work.</p> <h3><strong><u>What You'll Do</u></strong></h3> <p>The Associate Director/Director, Strategy & Operations — AI Initiatives will play a critical role in the delivery and adoption of AI-enabled solutions that accelerate how BridgeBio works across R&D, G&A, and Commercial. This high-impact role will scope high-ROI use cases, run rapid prototypes through to scaled deployment, and establish right-sized implementation and governance structures. You will partner cross-functionally to remove bottlenecks, stand up practical copilots and analytics, measure outcomes (cycle-time, quality, cost, compliance), and drive change management so AI becomes a durable advantage for BridgeBio and the patients we serve. The role will report to the Chief of Staff to the CEO with dotted line reporting to the Chief People Officer.</p> <h3><strong><u>Responsibilities</u></strong></h3> <ul> <li>Strategic Planning and Execution <ul> <li>Work with the CEO, Chief of Staff, Chief People Officer, and BridgeBio AI Taskforce to set the company’s strategic vision on AI and identify the highest-impact projects to the business</li> <li>Define and run lightweight operating mechanisms (intake/triage, sprint cadences, stage gates, risk reviews, release and enablement plans)</li> </ul> </li> <li>Program Delivery and Cross-functional Partnership <ul> <li>Lead end-to-end delivery of high-priority, select AI initiatives: problem framing, rapid prototyping/POC, validation, pilot, and scaled deployment with clear acceptance and success criteria. Collaborate with IT, People Team, and Functional stakeholders</li> <li>Remove blockers, manage RAID (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies), and ensure initiatives land with durable ownership and support</li> </ul> </li> <li>Stakeholder Communication <ul> <li>Develop and deliver executive-level materials that synthesize technical and business content into clear, concise, and actionable narratives for leadership, the Board of Directors, and cross-functional teams</li> <li>Translate between scientific, clinical, technical, and business stakeholders to drive alignment and decisions; regularly report impact metrics and use feedback loops to surface and communicate lessons learned</li> <li>Create playbooks, enablement assets, and job aids that support adoption and change management across functions</li> <li>Be an AI evangelist, inspiring and empowering teams across the company to embrace AI as a core enabler of growth and innovation</li> </ul> </li> <li>External Landscape Mapping and Vendor Strategy <ul> <li>Maintain a comprehensive view of the AI landscape. Follow thought leaders, blogs, and progress from leading companies in the space</li> <li>identify peer companies that are on the leading edge of AI innovation and integrate best practices</li> <li>Evaluate platforms and vendors; negotiate scope, timelines, and pricing; align with enterprise architecture and data governance. Make Buy vs. Build recommendations</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <h3><strong><u>Where You'll Work</u></strong></h3> <p>This is a fully in-person role and requires in-office collaboration every day in our San Francisco or Palo Alto Office. Some amount of travel to conferences and vendors will be required.</p> <h3><strong><u>Who You Are</u></strong></h3> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in the Life Sciences or Computer Science</li> <li>A higher degree or equivalent, such as an M.S., M.B.A., M.D., Ph.D., or related, is preferred</li> <li>3–5+ years of professional experience across strategy & operations, product operations, transformation initiatives, or consulting</li> <li>Biopharma industry experience is helpful but is not required</li> <li>Proven track record delivering AI/ML or GenAI initiatives from POC to scaled adoption with real business impact</li> <li>Deep passion for AI and how it can be applied across the work of a biopharma company to expedite the development of meaningful medicines</li> <li>Knowledge of technical developments and industry trends, with a broad network across the biotech and/or tech industries</li> <li>Ability to translate between scientific, technical, and business audiences</li> <li>Passion for helping patients and accelerating the development of life-changing medicines</li> <li>You have demonstrated curiosity and adaptability in adopting AI-powered tools and technologies</li> </ul> <h3><strong><u>Rewarding Those Who Make the Mission Possible</u></strong></h3> <p>We have high expectations for our team members.
