<p><b><span>The Role</span></b></p><p>The Associate Director, Logistics Operations INT & 3PL Management will lead Moderna’s INT logistics operations with a strong emphasis on digital transformation and AI-driven supply chain orchestration. This role goes beyond operational oversight: it defines and drives the future of logistics technology, ensures resilience in INT distribution and logistics, and embeds compliance across GDP/GMP/Cold Chain frameworks.</p><p></p><p>Beyond overseeing logistics operations, this role owns end-to-end 3PL management from partner selection and onboarding to performance governance and continuous improvement.</p><p></p><p><b><span>Here’s What You’ll Do</span></b></p><ul><li><p>Lead the INT logistics operations and 3PL management while empowering a high-performing, tech-savvy team.</p></li><li><p>Implement and own GDP compliant end to end shipping concepts: handling of goods, shipping validation and customs clearance, etc.</p></li><li><p>Own end-to-end 3PL lifecycle management across packaging, device, and logistics partners. RFPs, selection, onboarding, performance governance, and offboarding included.</p></li><li><p>Lead 3PL performance management. Define and track KPIs, run QBRs, and drive proactive issue resolution and continuous improvement.</p></li><li><p>Ensure processes are adherent to Health Authority requirements and guidelines, such as Good Distribution and Storage Practices, based on commercial demands and product portfolio</p></li><li><p>Implement AI-powered visibility, forecasting, and exception management tools to enhance operational responsiveness.</p></li><li><p>Partner with Moderna Digital and Logistics Engineering to design and deploy next-gen systems: transport management, digital twins, predictive analytics, and automation platforms.</p></li><li><p>Advance end-to-end digital connectivity with 3PLs and carriers, including IoT-enabled cold chain monitoring and automated customs clearance.</p></li><li><p>Optimize the cost to serve and ensures efficient management of logistics-related activities</p></li><li><p>Partner with trade compliance to make sure processes follow import and export regulations</p></li><li><p>Work closely with key stakeholders such as INT operations, Supply Chain Planning, Logistics Engineering, Corporate Security, and Quality to ensure business and compliance requirements are reflected in distribution and logistics processes</p></li><li><p>Develop and implement distribution network structure together with key stakeholders</p></li><li><p>Develop distribution and logistics key performance indicators (KPI)</p></li><li><p>Update and implement Compliance and Business Process documentation – internally and with 3rd Party Logistics providers</p></li><li><p>Co-ordinate and manage internal and external parties to deliver the initiatives within agreed upon time frame</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Here’s What You’ll Need (</span></b><b><span>Basic </span></b><b><span>Qualifications)</span></b></p><ul><li><p><span>Education: BS/BA degree in supply chain / logistics, engineering, or management/business administration </span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience: 8-10 years (BS) or 5-8 years (MS) in various Distribution/Logistics functions and Supply Chain</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience working in a cGMP and cGDP environment with a good understanding of the Pharma industry & Supply Chain, highly preferred.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience with SAP or ERP systems and modern logistics software platforms (e.g. transport management system, visibility tools, digital twins)</span></p></li><li><p><span>Working knowledge of GDP and relevant guidelines and regulations.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Highly organized, solutions-driven, and able to manage multiple complex projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><span> <b>Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)</b></span></p><ul><li><p><span>Hands-on with AI/ML applications in supply chain, digital twins, predictive analytics, or IoT-enabled cold chain solutions.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Track record of implementing automation, visibility platforms, or smart logistics solutions with measurable impact.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Pharmaceutical and Biotech experience highly preferred.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience with Cold Chain Transportation Products</span></p></li><li><p><span>You drive for results and demonstrate the ability to develop solutions. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
