Opportunity Overview As an Area Development Managers (ADM), you will play an integral role providing disease education for Bardet-Biedl syndrome (BBS) and acquired Hypothalamic Obesity (HO) to a targeted physician community. The ADMs will work as members of the North America Medical Affairs organization and collaborate with cross functional partners to execute disease education and support testing initiatives around Rare Genetic Diseases of Obesity (RGDO) and at times support the clinical development team on enrollment of clinical studies.  The role is ideal for candidates with strong rare or endocrine sales or other field experience who are agile, flexible and able to navigate ambiguity while being passionate about Rhythms’ mission and vision. This position will report to the Sr. Director, Head of ADMs.   Responsibilities and Duties<ul><li>Execute disease education to target HCPs in alignment with company priorities and direction. </li><li>Develop strong relationships with experts and target specialists in assigned geography, ensuring delivery of clinically focused messages.</li><li>Collaborate and coordinate with matrix team members to address customer needs related to Rhythm’s genetic testing program. </li><li>Execute a compliant, tailored approach by applying business analytics and marketplace knowledge.</li><li>Foster strong relationships with HCPs in assigned geography to support disease education. </li><li>Collaborate with cross functional teams, including clinical operations and MSLs, to optimize clinical study recruitment when needed.</li><li>Ensure accurate capture and reporting of data in the CRM.</li><li>Engage in ongoing training to improve skills and optimize execution to meet yearly objectives.</li><li>Collaborate with marketing teams on the development of collateral to support the teams’ activities. </li><li>Ensure completion of all corporate and administrative responsibilities with high level of compliance and efficiency, including healthcare compliance training, expense reports and other assignments by established deadlines.   </li></ul> Qualifications and Skills<ul><li>BS/BA degree in science or business preferred. </li><li>6+ years of specialty pharmaceutical and/or biotech sales or other field experience </li><li>Rare disease experience strongly preferred and launch experience preferred. </li><li>Proven track record of consistent performance in complex markets with diverse customer segments </li><li>Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory and enforcement environments</li><li>High level of commitment to ethical and compliant behavior</li><li>Ability to have high command of scientific data and to communicate it effectively to different audiences. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with strong productive engagement of customers utilizing active listening. </li><li>Passionate about improving patient care delivery with strong customer orientation and insight.</li><li>Self-motivated, highly energetic individual with the ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. </li><li>Proven ability to thrive in a collaborative and accountable culture to reach common goals. </li><li>Strong critical thinking skills with a solution-oriented mindset </li><li>High level of organizational and operational skills, with attention to detail and sound business judgment </li><li>Ability to travel up to 80% as necessary. </li></ul> This role will be field based. Candidates applying must be based in a centralized location in their territory and have easy access to transportation and airports. The expected salary range for this position is $135,000 - $215,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, level, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and company performance. This role may be eligible for benefits and other compensation such as restricted stock units.
