What you will do:

The General Accounting Supervisor will be responsible to deliver qualitative and timely accounting for assigned entities in Stryker’s Costa Rica Shared Service Center.

  • Lead and develop a team who assures the highest levels of customer satisfaction by meeting or exceeding customer expectations with closings/e-closings that occur in a timely and effective fashion for the Americas.
  • Monitor accounting data production to make sure compliance with Corporate accounting policies, Latam and local GAAP.
  • Perform financial statements reviews and propose adjustments to supported entities.
  • Collaborate to streamline account reconciliation cycle and support approval process. when needed
  • Support to producing timely periodical reporting package.
  • Develop, measure, and distribute results and efficiency drive metrics / KPI’s.
  • Collaborate with Shared Services teams and internal stakeholders to act as the primary point of contact for assigned entities, ensuring strong relationships and high-quality results.
  • Performs other related work as assigned by management.

What you need:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field

  • +5 years of experience in accounting or finance within a matrixed international (preferably American or multinational) company, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role

  • Strong expertise in financial analysis, complex reporting, and process optimization, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards

  • Fluent in spoken and written English (B2+)

  • Solid understanding of local and international accounting principles (e.g., NIIF, NIC)

  • Experience with ERP systems, specifically JDE and proficiency in MS Office Suite

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or QAD

  • Portuguese language skills

Travel Percentage: 20%
