PACLITAXEL (paclitaxel) by Teva is clinical pharmacology paclitaxel is a novel antimicrotubule agent that promotes the assembly of microtubules from tubulin dimers and stabilizes microtubules by preventing depolymerization. Approved for breast cancer after failure of combination chemotherapy for metastatic disease, relapse within 6 months of adjuvant chemotherapy, combination with cisplatin and 2 more indications. First approved in 2002.
