Drug data last refreshed Yesterday
IMITREX (sumatriptan) is a serotonin 1b/1d receptor agonist administered as a nasal spray for acute treatment of migraine, cluster headache, and post-traumatic headache. It works by constricting blood vessels and reducing substances in the body that can cause headache, pain, sensitivity to light and sound, and other migraine symptoms.
As IMITREX approaches loss of exclusivity, career roles are consolidating toward defensive positioning and generic/OTC transition planning.
