The Warehouse Technician is a critical link between suppliers, warehouse operations, production, quality, and the customer. The position is responsible for ensuring the right material is available, in the right quantity, in the right condition, at the right location, and at the right time to support production requirements.
The successful candidate will demonstrate ownership of the warehouse environment, maintain high standards of safety and housekeeping, protect inventory accuracy, identify problems before they disrupt production, and actively contribute to continuous improvement.

The Warehouse Technician is expected to demonstrate the following behaviors consistently:

Understands that inventory accuracy directly impacts production, cost, customer satisfaction, and operational performance. Verifies information before completing transactions or releasing material.
Understands production priorities and proactively supports the flow of material necessary to meet customer commitments.
Recognizes that safety is everyone's responsibility. Identifies hazards, speaks up, and takes appropriate action when unsafe conditions are observed.
Looks beyond the immediate problem to understand why it occurred and participates in preventing recurrence.
Reports to work prepared, follows through on commitments, completes assignments on time, and can be relied upon during changing production demands.
Deals directly and respectfully with people and problems, maintains composure under pressure, and represents Fontaine professionally.
Looks for better, safer, faster, and more efficient ways to perform work while maintaining quality and compliance.
Communication: Listening effectively, transmitting information accurately and understandably, actively seeking feedback, and communicating operational concerns promptly.
Customer Focus: Understanding and meeting the needs of internal and external customers and recognizing that warehouse performance directly affects production and the ultimate customer.
Flexibility: Performing a wide range of tasks, responding effectively to changes in production priorities, accepting new responsibilities, and supporting changing business needs.
Attention to Detail: Monitoring adherence to standards and actively verifying the accuracy of material, documentation, inventory transactions, labels, quantities, and locations.
Professionalism: Dealing directly and forthrightly with people and problems, maintaining composure, and persisting to complete work to the required standard.
Dependability/Reliability: Following through on commitments, producing timely and accurate work, maintaining attendance expectations, and contributing wherever needed to achieve operational goals.
Teamwork: Building cooperation among individuals and departments, sharing information and resources, and working toward common production, safety, quality, and customer objectives.
Interpersonal Influence: Building effective relationships and adapting communication and working styles to different individuals, departments, and operational situations.
Directive Influence: Providing clear direction or instruction when appropriate, maintaining compliance with established processes, and valuing input from knowledgeable resources.
Problem Solving: Recognizing problems, gathering relevant information, identifying contributing factors, escalating appropriately, and participating in sustainable solutions.
Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities to eliminate waste, reduce risk, improve material flow, increase accuracy, and strengthen operational performance.
Success in this position will be demonstrated through consistent performance in areas including:
Performance expectations may be measured through established department and company metrics, audits, inventory results, safety observations, quality performance, production feedback, and demonstrated adherence to standardized work.
This position operates primarily within an industrial manufacturing and warehouse environment and may be exposed to moving equipment, forklifts, truck components, welding and fabrication activities, noise, dust, weather conditions, and other manufacturing-related hazards.
The employee is expected to consistently use required personal protective equipment, follow established safety procedures, and maintain awareness of surrounding operations.
The Warehouse Technician is expected to consistently demonstrate Fontaine's commitment to:
