Working here will make you feel like you’re part of a family that works together to make a difference and help nourish millions of families around the world.</p><p></p><p><b>What You’ll Work On</b></p><ul><li><p>Order fulfillment out of our Altavista, VA Distribution Center.  Includes order placement, shipping and logistics coordination, product allocation, prioritization, account management, handling of customer inquiries/complaint resolution and trending and tracking of customer ordering history.</p></li><li><p>This position is responsible for all Logistics and Distribution activities for the Warehouse.</p></li><li><p>Ensuring orders are packaged per DOT, IATA rules, reviewing and processing documents to ensure products conform to regulatory requirements; and ensure that all employees are properly trained per OP&#39;s, CAPA, GMP, ISO, FDA regulations.</p></li><li><p>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to ensuring all shipping and receiving deadlines are met.</p></li><li><p>Communicating with purchasing, planning, Quality, Marketing, Clinical Affairs, etc. to ensure all logistics and distribution requirements and needs are satisfied.</p></li><li><p>Responsible for ensuring all Customs and FTZ regulations, requirements, and paperwork are in order at all times, for shipments out of the warehouses</p></li><li><p>Responsible for addressing employee related issues to include coaching and development, training, performance assessments and reviews, corrective counseling, and hiring of exempt and non-exempt personnel.</p></li><li><p>Oversee implementation of new procedures, safety improvement programs and cost reductions.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Required Qualifications</b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.</p></li><li><p>Minimum 7 years experience in Warehouse Operations, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with all Logistics and Distribution requirements, terms, Customs Rules/Regulations, FTZ Rules/Regulation.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></p><ul><li><p>People management experience strongly preferred.</p></li><li><p>Background in business analysis with direct customer contact experience is desired.</p></li><li><p>Experience and knowledge with warehouse operations is very important to this position as this is the key contact for the warehouse activities for the entire division.</p></li><li><p>Knowledge and experience in managing operations impacted by Quality Systems, cGMP requirements, and a high level of FDA and third-party scrutiny is desired.</p></li><li><p>Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills are essential and the ability to interact effectively at all levels of management and with customers inside and outside of Abbott.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><a href="https://www.jobs.abbott/us/en" target="_blank"><b>Apply Now</b></a></p><p></p><p><b>Learn more about our health and wellness benefits, which provide the security to help you and your family live full lives:  </b><a href="http://www.abbottbenefits.com/pages/candidate.aspx" target="_blank">www.abbottbenefits.com</a></p><p>Follow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
