VALUE, ACCESS & POLICY MANAGER (1-YEAR FIXED-TERM CONTRACT)

At Amgen Breda medicines are labelled, assembled, stored and eventually shipped to various countries worldwide. Every day more than 1000 people with 42 different nationalities are working on supply chain processes, manufacturing, marketing and sales of our medicines and clinical research into new medicines.

What you will do

Join the VAP team as a Value, Access & Policy Manager and help improve access and outcomes for eligible patients.

This one-year role sits within the Expertise Team and is designed as a focused development opportunity in Value, Access & Policy.

You will work closely with the Access Lead and RWD & HT Lead, combining hands-on responsibility with coaching and exposure across access, RWD and HTA. You will build on your existing customer, payer and market experience, with the ambition to be ready to take on a VAP Manager role independently by the end of the year.

In this role, you will:

• Translate insights into access solutions: Turn payer, patient, customer and market insights into practical access strategies, suitable care initiatives and actions that improve patient access and outcomes.
• Generate and apply evidence: Define and address relevant research questions using data, translating insights into evidence that creates meaningful impact for our therapeutic areas.
• Drive cross-functional projects: Lead and coordinate projects across VAP and franchise teams, bringing different perspectives and expertise together to deliver results.
• Advance access and HTA capabilities: Contribute to reimbursement procedures, value communication and patient access activities, including further professionalizing our access database, AI-enabled HTA dossiers and monitoring tools.
• Build partnerships and VAP capability: Develop constructive internal and external collaborations while strengthening your own expertise in access, RWD and HTA and contributing to the broader VAP capability.

Important: This is a fixed-term position for one year which means that the position ends after one year. At this stage, we cannot guarantee an extension of the role or placement in another suitable position at Amgen afterwards.

What we expect of you

We are looking for a colleague with the following experience and capabilities:

• Relevant background and experience: A master’s degree in Pharmacy, Health Sciences, Life Sciences, Health Economics or a related discipline, combined with several years (5–10 years) of pharmaceutical industry experience, ideally in commercial, medical or market access.
• Dutch healthcare and customer understanding: Solid knowledge of the Dutch healthcare environment, with experience working with customers and other stakeholders on projects that create value for patients and healthcare.
• Strategic and analytical thinking: Experience translating customer, market and data insights into clear strategies and practical actions, with a strong interest in reimbursement, health economics, RWD, HTA and value communication.
• Leadership and delivery: Proven ability to lead cross-functional work, bring colleagues together around a shared objective and manage multiple projects and deliverables through to results.
• Stakeholder engagement and communication: Experience building trusted relationships with healthcare professionals, KOLs and other external stakeholders, combined with clear and persuasive communication in Dutch and English and a curious, proactive and collaborative mindset.
