What you will do

Let’s do this. In this vital role as Value, Access & Policy Associate you will take primary responsibility for case-by-case patient access to all Amgen products, under the guidance of the respective project lead. In addition, you will support the expansion of umbrella contracts, industry standards and related projects. You will also support selected External Engagement projects. You will be part of the Value, Access & Policy (VA&P) Team and report directly to the Director Value, Access & Policy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing case-by-case reimbursement processes (KVV71), ensuring individual patient access and reimbursement in direct negotiation with health insurers, their fiduciary medical doctors and treating physicians, under the guidance of the respective project lead​
• Supporting expansion (strategy & execution) of umbrella contracts with health insurers and industry standards to further optimize case-by-case reimbursement processes​
• Supporting implementation processes of advanced IT solutions to enable efficiency gains in off-label areas ​
• Supporting External Engagement within industry association fora and within SGV association (Fiduciary Medical Doctors) to shape KVV71 access pathway regulation ​
• Supporting selected VA&P projects across area of business with research, stakeholder mapping, intelligence gathering and distribution​
• Engaging at internal & external meetings and fora to enhance connectivity​
• Continuous monitoring of market developments and proactive input on necessary adjustments of the VA&P strategy​

• Master’s degree in economics or in biomedical science such as pharmacology, molecular biology, medicine or in law​
• Relevant experience with topics relating to the Swiss health care system, either within an academic or professional context​
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills​
• Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills​
• Strong eagerness to learn and take on new challenges​
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with different functions in a complex matrix organization​
• Fluency in German and English is required; proficiency in French is an advantage​
