This role ensures that the organization maintains full compliance with US immigration laws and regulations. The expert will establish in-house immigration advisory services, previously provided by the parent company’s shared service centers, and act as the primary liaison with government agencies, external counsel, and internal stakeholders.<ul><li>Lead the Standalone U.S. Immigration Compliance Project: Define governance, timelines, deliverables, and risk‑mitigation strategies specific to U.S. immigration compliance; ensure all legal responsibilities, filings, and compliance obligations transition appropriately to Siemens Healthineers as the new employer entity.</li><li>Oversee mandatory legal and compliance actions in close collaboration with legal counsel and external immigration providers and law firms.</li><li>Develop, implement, and oversee immigration policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.</li><li>Lead the timely engagement of external U.S. immigration counsel to define strategy, confirm filing requirements, and establish timelines and pricing.</li><li>Maintain continuous alignment with Siemens GMR’s U.S. Immigration Team and external counsel to ensure compliance and business continuity.</li><li>Ensure compliance with US immigration laws, Department of Homeland Security (DHS), USCIS, and Department of Labor (DOL) regulations.</li><li>Monitor regulatory changes and advise leadership on implications for workforce planning.</li><li>Provide legal guidance on visa categories (H-1B, L-1, O-1, TN, E, etc.), permanent residency, and work authorization to International Mobile Workforce.</li><li>Partner with HR, Talent Acquisition, and Global Mobility teams to align immigration processes with business needs.</li><li>Act as the primary point of contact for government agencies and external immigration law firms.</li><li>Train HR and business leaders on immigration compliance and risk mitigation.</li><li>Prepare reports for senior leadership on immigration trends, risks, and compliance metrics.</li><li>Develop contingency plans for regulatory changes or geopolitical shifts affecting immigration.</li><li>Drive employee and business communications and change management - develop and execute a comprehensive communication strategy to support impacted employees.</li></ul><p></p><p>Qualifications/ Experience:</p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.</li><li>Minimum 7–10 years of experience in US immigration law, preferably within a corporate or law firm setting.</li><li>Extensive experience in U.S. immigration compliance, preferably within large multinational organizations or divestiture environments.</li><li>Deep understanding of USCIS, DOL, and related regulatory frameworks.</li><li>Proven expertise in employment-based immigration (nonimmigrant and immigrant categories).</li><li>Strong knowledge of US immigration regulations, compliance frameworks, and government processes.</li><li>Experience managing large-scale immigration programs for multinational corporations.</li></ul><p></p><p>Attributes and Skills:</p><ul><li>Proven ability to lead complex, high‑risk compliance projects with strict timelines.</li><li>Strong stakeholder‑management skills, including communication with executives, employees, and external counsel.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive employee situations with clarity and empathy.</li><li>Exceptional project management, analytical, and organizational skills.</li><li>Ability to operate in a fast‑moving, ambiguous environment with competing priorities.</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b>Who we are</b>: We are a team of more than 72,000 highly dedicated Healthineers in more than 70 countries.
