At Revvity, we offer internships and early career opportunities in life sciences and diagnostics, where interns and early career professionals will have the opportunity to be part of our RiseUp Global Internship Program.
About Our Pittsburgh Laboratory
Our state-of-the-art biochemical and molecular genetics laboratory provides newborn screening and genomic testing services around the world. With over 7.5 million newborns screened since 1994, our laboratory pairs decades of newborn screening expertise with a leading-edge clinical genomics program to offer one of the world’s most comprehensive programs for detecting clinically significant genomic changes.
Our Pittsburgh site is home to experts in genetics, molecular biology, and biochemical testing, and it offers early career professionals the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in clinical diagnostics, molecular assays, and laboratory operations in a highly regulated environment.
About RiseUp
RiseUp is Revvity’s global internship and early career program, designed to give students and recent graduates the opportunity to dive into real-world projects, gain hands-on skills, and experience what it’s like to be part of our team. Depending on location and role—internship or co-op—programs can last from 3 to 12 months. RiseUp has earned a 4.5/5 satisfaction rating from participants worldwide.
Potential Opportunities at the Pittsburgh Site
At our Pittsburgh laboratory, future opportunities may be scientist-focused, with roles such as:
Laboratory Interns / Associates – support biochemical and molecular testing
Molecular Biology Interns / Scientists – DNA sequencing, nucleic acid-based assays
Biochemistry Interns / Scientists – LC-MS/MS, ELISA, and enzyme testing
Genomics Interns / Scientists – high-throughput sequencing and data interpretation
Quality & Regulatory Support – assist with compliance and process documentation
Students in these roles gain valuable skills in clinical diagnostics, assay development, quality assurance, and laboratory automation, while working alongside board-certified geneticists, laboratory scientists, and other industry experts.

Basic Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree (or recent graduate) in Biology, Chemistry, Biomedical Sciences, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or a related field.
Strong interest in laboratory sciences, clinical diagnostics, or healthcare innovation.
Eagerness to learn, collaborate, and grow in a dynamic, purpose-driven environment.
