This role is responsible for ensuring the company’s compliance with all applicable export control laws and Customs regulations related to international trade. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of trade compliance and export control requirements, along with excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.</p><p></p><p><b>Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Analyze the impact of regulatory changes together with team leader on business operations and contribute to the implementation of Export Control regulations</li><li>Ensure alignment with applicable compliance frameworks (e.g., U.S. EAR, EU Dual-Use Regulation, China Export Control regulations)</li><li>Provide advisory support regarding Export Control compliance strategies and risk mitigation on daily operations and support escalations to GTC/DTC as needed</li><li>Support China GTC teams in preparing and submitting BIS/BAFA export control license applications and track application status with factory GTC team</li><li>Work with the GTC team to initiate and deploy activities, and collaborate with supply chain, logistics, regulatory, procurement, sales, finance, legal and other business teams on cross-function projects</li><li>Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential issues on export control and China dual-use items import and export ( e.g. dealer stock audit, internal audit… )</li><li>Support team leader in developing risk mitigation strategies; plan and execute internal assessments, including post-entry audits of import/export entries, follow-up actions, trend analysis, and proactive improvement programs across China sites</li><li>Develop strategy for applying/maintaining AEO certificates to support business</li><li>Participate in investigations, audits, or disclosures regarding the company's import and, export activities in China. Support Customs audit defense and strategy development</li><li>Deliver training programs on export controls and Customs compliance</li><li>Partner with the team leader to drive the adoption and rollout of Thermo Fisher’s AI and digital initiatives, enhancing trade compliance controls, streamlining operational workflows, and improving efficiency and quality</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Requirements:</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in international trade, logistic management or a related field. A master’s degree is plus.</li><li>8+ years of experience in compliance management within a multi-national company, with proven experience managing compliance activities</li><li>In-depth knowledge of global trade regulations, including US/EU export control, sanctions regimes and Customs Knowledge</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and the ambition to learn and use PPI to improve processes</li><li>Promote the application of AI programs in business operations to drive the intelligent transformation of work models and comprehensively enhance quality standards</li><li>Familiar with AEO certification, HTS Code Classification and Customs audit etc.</li><li>Excellent communication skills in Mandarin and English</li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-border, cross-functional teams</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p>
