Together, we bring MORE change to the world.</p><p><br />Learn about the <b>Danaher Business System</b> which makes everything possible.</p><p></p><p><b>The Territory Sales Manager Eastern Europe</b> is responsible for owning, managing, and growing Cepheid’s business across <b>Hungary, Czechia, Slovakia, and Romania</b>, driving sustainable revenue growth through territory planning, distributor enablement, installed base expansion, and new business development.</p><p>This position reports to <b>Commercial Sales Leadership</b> and is part of the <b>Sales organization</b>, located in <b>Eastern Europe</b>, and will be a <b>field‑based role</b>, working remotely with frequent travel across the assigned territory.<br />The <b>ideal location for this role is Hungary (Budapest)</b>.</p><p></p><p><b>In this role, you will have the opportunity to:</b></p><ul><li><p>Deliver sustainable growth by expanding Cepheid adoption across hospitals, laboratories, and other testing environments.</p></li><li><p>Build durable customer partnerships with clinical, operational, and procurement stakeholders to increase satisfaction and retention.</p></li><li><p>Lead the full sales cycle from discovery and value positioning through proposal, tender execution, negotiation, and deal closure.</p></li><li><p>Enable distributor sales teams through joint customer visits, account planning, and opportunity progression.</p></li><li><p>Apply the Danaher Business System (DBS) to drive continuous improvement and identify new growth opportunities.</p></li></ul><h3></h3><p><b>The essential requirements of the job include: </b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Medical or Laboratory disciplines, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.</p></li><li><p>Proven field sales experience in molecular diagnostics, medical devices, laboratory solutions, or complex B2B healthcare environments.</p></li><li><p>Strong and demonstrable knowledge of PCR‑based technologies and molecular diagnostic workflows.</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated success managing consultative, multi‑stakeholder sales cycles and high‑value purchasing decisions.</p></li><li><p>Strong territory planning, account management, and business development capabilities with a structured, data‑driven approach.</p></li><li><p>Consistent use of CRM systems for opportunity management, forecasting, and performance reporting.</p></li><li><p>Fluency in English; additional local languages relevant to the Eastern Europe territory are a strong advantage.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role</b></p><ul><li><p>Ability to travel approximately <b>70%</b> across Hungary, Czechia, Slovakia, and Romania, including overnight stays as required.</p></li><li><p>Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.</p></li><li><p>Ability to work in hospital and laboratory environments in accordance with site‑specific safety requirements.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:</b></p><ul><li><p>Selling molecular diagnostics, including infectious disease, syndromic testing, or point‑of‑care solutions.</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with public procurement, tender processes, distributor models, and contracting dynamics in Eastern Europe.</p></li><li><p>Ability to translate clinical and operational value into a clear business case for customers and procurement stakeholders.</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Cepheid, a Danaher operating company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives.
