Technician/Lab Assistant

<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p><span>Main Responsibilities &amp; Tasks</span></p><ul><li>Perform regular lab tasks: System &amp; equipment maintenance, check &amp; maintain lab inventory, keep an overview of consumables &amp; reagent stock, <span>good ‘house-keeping’</span>, Coordinate tasks around lab maintenance with internal and external stakeholders</li><li>Comply with lab policies</li><li>Conduct lab experiments performed in the BSL1 and BSL2 lab</li><li>Support processes run in small scale bioreactor system, e.g. Ambr15, Ambr250, RM, UniVessel</li><li>Perform cell passaging &amp; expansion</li><li>Perform regular analytical measurements, at-line and as part of post-process analytics</li><li>Acquire needed certificates to perform regular lab tasks and handle required chemicals.</li><li>Support with administrative tasks and coordinate with relevant departments/ stakeholders to ensure smooth operation of the lab work</li><li>Keep complete and accurate of lab task records</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><span>Qualifications &amp; Skills</span></p><ul><li>Bachelors degree in biology, bioengineering, biotechnology or similar</li><li>At least 3years of relevant experience in cell culture and biology</li><li>Experience in working with mammalian cells (under sterile, antibiotic-free conditions)</li><li>Experience with bioreactors would be an advantage.</li><li>Experience in following aspects would also considered plus: advanced therapies, nuclei acid research, and chromatography.</li><li>Language skills:  English and Chinese. Read, understand and conduct lab activities according to manuals/SOPs in English.</li><li>Good team player and willing to collaborate with different stakeholders to achieve common goals</li><li>Accuracy and close attention to detail.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>About Sartorius </b></p><p></p><p>Sartorius is part of the solution in the fight against cancer, dementia, and many other diseases.
