This role is part of Alcon's Manufacturing function, a team that designs, produces and delivers innovative eyecare products to more than 140 countries through operational excellence and efficiency. The Technician II, Molding & Tooling Production Operations, is primarily responsible for handling complex tasks related to operating molding tools and equipment with minimal supervision. You will conduct quality inspections, handle materials, operate automated equipment, and resolve issues. This role involves mold changes, collaborating with various departments, and troubleshooting medical device molds, requiring advanced technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication to maintain high production standards and efficiency.
Job responsibilities:
Perform optical tool inspection, assembly, PON set-up, targeting, line clearance, mechanical and negative checks, UV readings and PON changeover.
Handle molding automation operations in responsible to faults and ensure all the documentation are in proper record.
Perform mold cosmetic inspection and bubble check on dry lens.
Adherence to Alcon Values & Behaviors, observe and ensure full compliance with Alcon Code of Business Conducts.
Fully comply to Data Integrity procedure and requirements.
Observe and ensure full compliance with Alcon Health Safety and Environment Standards.
Minimum requirement:
• Minimum qualification certificate/ diploma
• Open for fresh graduates (diploma holders)
• Good to have Molding experience
• Must be willing to work 12 hours rotational shift (weekly)
