Technician II (Mechanical)

     

JOB DESCRIPTION:

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE

• Responsible for maintenance and repair services of mechanical and electrical manufacturing systems.
• Evaluates, selects and orders equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacture of company products.
• Oversees the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
• Monitors, repairs and maintains production equipment to ensure continuous production.   
• Provides mechanical and/ or electrical repair.                    
• Responsible for repair, preventative maintenance, data management, project support, control support and ISO audits support.                   
• Maintains current records on equipment manufacturers’ technical notices, upgrades and safety issues.
• Studies equipment performance and reliability.
• Responsible for equipment maintenance (corrective, preventive, predictive) of plant equipment in comply with the Site Safety and GMP procedures.
• Complete 3C (Concern, cause and corrective action) for every corrective/demand maintenance of plant equipment.
• Perform either 12-hours rotating shift or Non-shift works.
• Support operation (day/ night shift) if needed.
• Support the equipment qualification such as walkdown, punch list, commissioning, IQ/ OQ/ PQ on any new project.
• Execution of work order and record job performed via MAXIMO system.
• Lead contractor, vendors and service providers to perform maintenance works.
• Take part in continuous improvement efforts/ projects or JDI.

• Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in Pharmaceutical/ Food/ Petrochemical/ Chemical/ Nutritional preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge on lean six sigma, kaizen and Kanban.

Qualifications

• ITC/ NITEC/ Diploma in Engineering/ Mechanical or related discipline or GCE "N/ O/ A" Level with at least 1 to 3 years of experience.
