The Technical Services Veterinarian, Livestock provides technical support for assigned products and geography in New Zealand. Field-based role reporting to the Technical Services Lead, Livestock.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities include, however not limited to:
Provide technical comparisons vs competitors and highlight product benefits
Deliver timely technical support and on-the-job training to the sales team
Identify and close knowledge gaps within the sales team
Work with Territory Managers to identify market needs and develop local strategies
Advise farmers, resellers and veterinarians on correct product use
Respond to technical enquiries and source required information
Produce technical writing including trial reports, articles and bulletins
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, veterinary medicine and farming practice
Monitor competitor technical developments and advise Technical Manager of impacts
Lead investigation and resolution of adverse events and manage PV casework per policy
Accompany sales on customer visits and provide product, disease and systems training to sales, marketing and customer service teams
Design and run marketing trials, analyse data and coordinate publication with R&D
Support R&D projects with field assistance, technical evaluations and regulatory input
Liaise with veterinarians, research groups, MPI contacts, distributors and end users
Provide technical input on complaints and adverse reactions
Maintain and develop technical manuals and training materials
Represent the business in industry technical forums and educational presentations
Ensure compliance with all relevant Acts, policies and procedures
What You Must have
Bachelor of Veterinary Science essential
Extensive proven prior experience in the livestock veterinary industry essential, preferably in New Zealand
Experience in the Animal Health industry preferred
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent communication, presentation and organisational skills
Self-starter who works well with minimal supervision
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
Role will require approximately 60% travel.
