Technical Application Specialist

Every day, more than 10 million tests are run on Abbott’s diagnostics instruments, providing lab results for millions of people.</p><p></p><p><b>Major Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Provide accurate and timely technical information, advice, and assistance regarding the organization&#39;s products and services before, during, and after a transaction to maintain and improve the organization&#39;s customer relationships.</li><li>Deliver customer operator training in Abbott facilities or on-site</li><li>Perform new instrument and assay implementations through to Test-of–Record</li><li>Provide on-site assay investigation and troubleshooting related to instruments, software reagents and experimental designed</li><li>Provide operator training and coaching on assay and instrument (hardware and software)</li><li>Prepare technical documents and reports for implementation, training, and investigations</li><li>Connect and integrate available or customize technologies to cater customers’ needs, take lead in technical discussions, analyze their needs, and propose relevant product and solution offerings</li><li>Host user meetings, workshops, seminars to update products information on instrumentation and support</li><li>Track assay issues and escalation cases for reporting and work closely with global teams to maintain records and solve issues</li><li>Use databases or other computerized systems to maintain up-to-date customer records, to track the volume, content and outcomes of enquiries received, and to access information, checklists, scripts, guidelines, and other materials for responding to the customer’s enquiry.</li><li>Work closely with other TAS and Service team to seek feedback and scope out potential lot issues</li><li>Workflow improvement / optimization</li><li>Any other task assigned by management from time to time</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Requirements</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Science/ Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) or other related disciplines</li><li>Minimum 5-7 years relevant experience and proven track record in a diagnostic laboratory in a similar position</li><li>Strong stakeholder management skills with proven engagements with customers, key stakeholders, and lab staff</li><li>Good knowledge in Technical Assay and systems to act as expert for product line responsibility</li><li>Highly developed communication skills and ability to demonstrate empathy and engagement with customers</li><li>Ability to identify and drive resolution of issues</li><li>Strong experience in use of analytical tools and software</li><li>Must be willing and able to be on standby after work hours/ work overtime to resolve issues when arises</li></ul><p></p><p>Follow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
