The role provides broad exposure across S&amp;OP, operational excellence, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration, supporting long-term leadership development.</p><p></p><p><b>Responsibilities and Duties</b></p><p><b>Supply Planning</b></p><ul><li>Build and execute supply plans to ensure product availability.</li><li>Coordinate with global teams and suppliers to manage constraints and risks.</li><li>Support new product launches and phase-outs.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>S&amp;OP Lead</b></p><ul><li>Lead Japan’s full S&amp;OP cycle.</li><li>Align Finance, Marketing, Sales and Global SCM on a single integrated plan.</li><li>Present supply scenarios, risks, and recommendations to leadership.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Inventory Management</b></p><ul><li>Maintain optimal inventory levels and reduce excess/expiry risk.</li><li>Set and review safety stock and replenishment logic.</li><li>Conduct root‑cause analysis for inventory issues and drive corrective actions.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>SAP/MRP</b></p><ul><li>Own SAP/MRP planning master data and parameters.</li><li>Manage MRP exceptions and ensure accurate planning signals.</li><li>Lead testing and support enhancements to SAP planning processes.</li><li>Train stakeholders on SAP/MRP best practices.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Operational Excellence</b></p><ul><li>Drive Lean-minded improvements across planning and supply chain processes.</li><li>Support digitalization and automation of planning workflows.</li><li>Create and update SOPs.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>KPI &amp; Reporting</b></p><ul><li>Build dashboards using Power BI and Excel.</li><li>Manage key metrics across supply, service, and inventory performance.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Cross‑Functional Collaboration</b></p><ul><li>Partner with QA/QC, Procurement, Finance, Marketing, Customer Support and 3PL providers.</li><li>Support Head of SCM on strategic and ad hoc initiatives.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Role Growth &amp; Development Path</b></p><p>As the business grows, this role will expand into:</p><p><b>People Leadership</b></p><ul><li>Managing and developing planners or analysts.</li><li>Leading hiring, onboarding, and capability building.</li></ul><p><b>Extended Leadership Scope</b></p><ul><li>Leading larger cross-functional supply chain initiatives.</li><li>Taking on broader responsibilities across supply chain operations.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><p></p><p><b>Education</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.</li><li>APICS, Lean, or Six Sigma preferred.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Experience</b></p><ul><li>5&#43; years in supply planning or supply chain management.</li><li>Strong hands-on SAP/MRP experience.</li><li>Experience in regulated industries preferred.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Skills</b></p><ul><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.</li><li>Proficient with SAP, Power BI, Excel.</li><li>Excellent communication and facilitation skills.</li><li>High ownership, initiative, and customer focus.</li></ul><p></p><p><span>Follow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
