Position Summary

As a Supply Chain Specialist II, you will play a critical role in supporting supply chain operations for sterile pharmaceutical products and services .

Acting as the main point of contact for assigned customers, you will ensure coordination across internal functions to guarantee product manufacturing, release, and delivery in line with customer demand.

This role requires strong cross-functional collaboration, analytical thinking, and a customer-focused mindset to ensure on-time delivery and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Demand & Planning

  • Manage customer demand by reviewing forecasts and purchase orders

  • Identify demand variations and align closely with the Planning team

  • Create, manage, and maintain accurate customer order data within SAP, ensuring timely processing and data integrity

  • Generate and update reports to support decision-making

Operational Coordination

  • Act as the key interface between customers and internal functions to ensure alignment on production, release, and delivery priorities

  • Drive cross-functional coordination (Planning, Production, Quality, and Logistics) to secure timely product release and on-time delivery (OTIF)

  • Participate in daily business unit meetings, actively representing customer needs and priorities

Logistics & Shipping

  • Arrange and oversee inbound and outbound shipments of customer materials

  • Coordinate warehouse schedules and logistics activities

  • Prepare shipping documentation and liaise with couriers and freight forwarders

  • Ensure compliance with international trade and shipping regulations

Customer Support & Communication

  • Act as the primary interface for customer inquiries related to supply chain topics

  • Provide proactive updates and solutions in alignment with internal stakeholders

  • Ensure clear, timely, and consistent communication regarding order status, product release, and delivery timelines

  • Manage customer expectations by proactively communicating risks, delays, and recovery plans

Financial & Administrative Activities

  • Issue invoices upon completion of products and services

  • Support accurate and timely billing processes

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements

  • Contribute to initiatives aligned with Lean, Six Sigma, or PPI methodologies

Minimum Requirements

  • Advanced degree or Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of experience in supply chain within complex environments, with proven ability to interact effectively with customers

  • Strong proficiency in ERP systems (SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail

  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across functions

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Fluency in English and Italian

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field

  • Professional certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPIM)

  • Experience in regulated environments (GMP, FDA)

  • Knowledge of inventory management principles

  • Familiarity with demand planning and forecasting tools

  • Experience with international trade compliance and shipping requirements

  • Proven track record in process improvement initiatives

  • Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities

  • Additional languages are a plus
