Position Overview

The Supply Chain Senior Launch Lead is responsible for executing the end-to-end supply chain strategy for New Product Introduction (NPI) and Life Cycle Management (LCM) projects. This highly visible role aligns cross-functional teams, manages project risks and dependencies, and drives execution. We are seeking an innovative, results-driven project leader who can challenge conventional approaches, simplify processes, and introduce new ways of working to accelerate decision-making and project execution.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Serves as the End to End supply chain lead for NPI and LCM projects, driving project plans, deliverables, and execution.
• Collaborates across Marketing, R&D, Quality and Supply Chain teams to develop project plans and participate in established governance to effectively align resources and prioritization.
• Responsible for development and execution of project plans from project charter through the hand-off to the manufacturing and/or supplier site all the way to global launch.
• Partners with other functions to achieve overall business objectives for a project, including commercial success, profitability, timeliness and quality.
• Executes projects in compliance with defined processes and procedures related to new product development.
• Provides innovative solutions to accelerate project execution and meet business deliverables.
• Builds strong cross-functional teams and provides clear, concise communication across teams.
• Responsible for communicating business-related issues, risks and/or opportunities to the next management level.
• Develops launch readiness plans in collaboration with Planning teams to support manufacturing scale-up for global launches and long-term supply strategies.
• Ensures alignment across make-versus-buy decisions, supporting site selection activities in collaboration with Source and Plan functions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or another related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Operations, Project Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in New Product Development (NPD) and/or New Product Introduction (NPI) project management.
• Experience in supply chain and/or manufacturing environments.
• Strong communication, influencing, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Experience within Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, Biologics, or other highly regulated industries is preferred.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams or NPI programs is preferred.
• Six Sigma, Process Excellence, Lean, PMP, APICS, or equivalent certification is preferred.

About the Future of Our Orthopaedics Business

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals.
