Hold up material manager or director to develop, implement GPSC reports, data research trends to facilitate resolutions making.</span></p><p><b><span>What a typical day looks like:</span></b></p><ul><li><span>Drives sourcing/pricing strategies in materials quotations.</span></li><li><span>Presents materials value-added to customers or suppliers, and influence customers to use Flex preferred suppliers.</span></li><li><span>Interfaces with customers or suppliers in new project start-up, for cost of ownership issues.</span></li><li><span>Develops and guides implementation of flexibility and supply assurance plans.</span></li><li><span>Manage component cost/price on a local, regional and global basis.</span></li><li><span>Tracks materials financial performance and initiate corrective actions when required.</span></li><li><span>Defines and implements pricing and costing strategies.</span></li><li><span>Coordinate sourcing strategies with Supply Management and Customers.</span></li><li><span>Develop and implement cost take down strategies.</span></li><li><span>Increase Vendor Managed Inventory, Reduced Guide-Time and Electronic Data Interface penetration.</span></li></ul><p><b><span>Supply Management: </span></b></p><ul><li><span>Manage regional supplier contract negotiations, which include Memorandums of Comprehension, Non-disclosure and regional pricing agreements. </span></li><li><span>Develop and maintain supplier relationships. </span></li><li><span>Measure and report Purchase Price Variance and initiate action plans. </span></li><li><span>Monitor and manage supplier times. </span></li><li><span>Mitigates shortages, excess on order and excess on hand. </span></li><li><span>Participate on and help global and regional commodity teams. </span></li><li><span>Contribute information/data on top spend suppliers for quarterly scorecards. </span></li></ul><p><b><span>Customer Supply Chain Management: </span></b></p><ul><li><span>Manages material cost reviews. </span></li><li><span>Drive initiatives to improve gross material margin. </span></li><li><span>Identify, implement and drive actions for Retained Purchase Price Variance (RPPV) optimization.</span></li><li><span>Drive reconciliation process with customer (PPV, Premium charges, carrying costs, freight charges, excess and obsolete inventory, Non-cancelable, Non-Returnable (NCNR), etc.) </span></li><li><span>Identify opportunities to increase turnkey business and develop materials management plan. </span></li><li><span>Coordinate quarterly/monthly PPV hard call process. </span></li></ul><p><b>The experience we’re looking to add to our team:</b></p><ul><li>Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.  </li><li>Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, materials sourcing, commodity management or supply chain design/management or other related areas. </li><li>Must understand cost accounting, electronic component markets, price trends and technologies.  </li><li>A background in electronics manufacturing and a thorough understanding of Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) product development process.  </li><li>To perform the major job responsibilities the use of the following tools may be required: Office Skills: telephones, data entry, office software to include, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation packages, and database systems. </li></ul><p></p><p>BO18</p></div></div><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><b>What you&#39;ll receive for the great work you provide:</b></p><ul><li>Full range of medical, dental, and vision plans</li><li>Life Insurance</li><li>Short-term and Long-term Disability</li><li>Matching 401(k) Contributions</li><li>Vacation and Paid Sick Time</li><li>Tuition Reimbursement</li></ul><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h2></h2><h2>Job Category</h2>Global Procurement &amp; Supply Chain<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h2></h2><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left">Is Sponsorship Available?</p>No<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p>Flex is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employment selection decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities.
