The Supplier Quality & Development Engineering Co-op will play an active role in ensuring supplier quality, product reliability, and operational excellence across GE HealthCare's supply base. Working closely with sourcing, engineering, manufacturing, and service teams, this individual will support both strategic improvement initiatives and day-to-day quality operations that directly impact our products and customers. This role provides exposure to supplier management, quality systems, manufacturing operations, data analytics, and continuous improvement within the medical device industry.
Students will have opportunities to work on projects aimed at improving supplier performance, reducing defects, enhancing process efficiency, and supporting supplier development activities. In addition to project-based work, the co-op will support recurring operational responsibilities such as monitoring supplier certifications, maintaining quality metrics and dashboards, and assisting with supplier communications and corrective action follow-up. The role will also encourage the use of data analytics, automation, and digital tools to simplify processes and improve efficiencies of the team.
Successful candidates are comfortable balancing routine responsibilities with improvement opportunities, demonstrate attention to detail, and take initiative to identify and solve problems. This position is well suited for students who enjoy working with data, collaborating across functions, learning new technologies, and driving continuous improvement.
