<p style="text-align:left"><u><b>Work Schedule</b></u></p>Third Shift (Nights)<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><u><b>Environmental Conditions</b></u></p>Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Loud Noises (Equipment/Machinery), Office<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><b><u>Job Description</u></b></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p>We're looking for an experienced and driven Manufacturing Supervisor to join our team.</p><p></p><p>Key Responsibilities :</p><ul><li>Applies Good Manufacturing Principles across all fields of responsibility</li><li>Demonstrates and drive the Thermo Fisher principles – Integrity, Passion, Engagement, and Innovation (The Four I’s)</li><li>Demonstrates the Thermo Fisher Role Model Leadership Proficiencies</li><li>Develops standards and annual objectives for employee and department performance in partnership with the Press Manufacturing Manager</li><li>Coordinates the Performance Management Development process for team members including timely mid-year and year-end performance discussions according to company guidelines</li><li>Provides ongoing mentoring and development support for the team to help reach the assigned goals</li><li>Monitors training requirements of every member under their supervision</li><li>Conducts daily shift meetings with the 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts press crews to review the days scheduling goals for the shifts and discuss any problems</li><li>Holds direct - reports accountable for their daily performance, acknowledges outstanding behaviors and provide feedback when appropriate</li><li>Orders raw materials including paper and inks to maintain accurate inventory levels</li><li>Works with the Scheduling to deliver manufactured products and proactively communicates and resolves potential obstacles</li><li>Participates in daily production meetings and actively provides feedback and suggestions to insure effective operations</li><li>Is familiar with and is knowledgeable about all the various products and construction manufactured in his department</li><li>Provides project support to meet company goals and objectives.</li><li>Investigates and addresses internal incidents and customer complaints in areas of responsibility ensuring issues are accurately monitored using TrackWise software</li><li>Monitors all area logbooks on an ongoing basis to ensure compliance with established standards</li><li>Assists Quality Services Manager in internal audits within area(s) of responsibility</li><li>Implements and monitors all “Corrective Actions” from internal or client audits</li><li>Tracks and provides monthly metrics reports to department manager</li><li>Ensures area Work Instructions are in line with current processes and updates as necessary</li><li>Establishes procedures mirroring equipment manuals and trains staff to follow these procedures</li><li>Ensures all equipment Preventive Maintenance programs are conducted as scheduled</li><li>Maintain press rooms in an organized, clean and qualified state</li><li>Maintains standard set of required tools in press rooms</li><li>Implements ongoing process improvement to operate in the highest state of efficiency and control.</li><li>Ensure team members complete their tasks in a manner that prioritizes safety and productivity</li><li>Provides troubleshooting assistance in the pressroom</li><li>Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner</li><li>Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs</li></ul><p></p><p>Knowledge, Skills, Abilities</p><ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent</li><li>Minimum of 5 Years’ supervisory experience in the printing industry or associated field </li><li>Familiar with the workings of a cGMP facility </li><li>Strong Leadership and persuasive communication styles</li><li>Should possess excellent oral and written communication skills</li><li>Strong conflict resolution skills</li><li>Must have strong digital literacy, including a high degree of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook</li></ul><p></p><p>Preferred Experience and Skills :</p><ul><li>Background in leading staff within a flexographic printing facility.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Excellent Benefits</b></p><ul><li><a href="https://jobs.thermofisher.com/global/en/total-rewards" target="_blank">Benefits & Total Rewards | Thermo Fisher Scientific</a></li><li>Medical, Dental, & Vision benefits-effective Day 1</li><li>Paid Time Off & Designated Paid Holidays</li><li>Retirement Savings Plan</li><li>Tuition Reimbursement</li></ul><p></p><p><b>OTHER</b></p><ul><li>Relocation assistance is NOT provided</li><li>Must be legally authorized to work in the United States now or in the future, <span>without sponsorship.</span></li><li>Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a drug screening</li></ul><p></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><u><b>Compensation and Benefits</b></u></p>The salary range estimated for this position based in New York is $79,100.00–$119,700.00.<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left">This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
