You will supervise a team of warehouse associates/material handlers and flex across Inventory, Shipping, Receiving, Distribution, Picking, and Staging based on operational needs. This role provides leadership coverage across various shifts and ensures effective shift handoffs and continuity of service.</span></p><p></p><p><b>Day in the Life</b></p><p><span>· Su</span>pervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities across Inventory, Shipping, Receiving, Distribution, Picking, and Staging; flex between areas as needed to meet site priorities.</p><p>· Provide leadership coverage across various shifts (including weekends/holidays as required); manage shift handoffs, communicate priorities, and ensure consistent execution across shifts.</p><p>· Direct and prioritize work for warehouse associates/material handlers; coach performance, ensure engagement, and support training/qualification requirements.</p><p>· Ensure compliant receiving execution: coordinate dock activities, verify documentation, process receipts, and ensure proper labeling, segregation, and storage of materials and equipment.</p><p>· Oversee inventory control activities including cycle counts, reconciliations, investigation of variances, and corrective actions to improve inventory accuracy.</p><p>· Lead picking/kitting and staging to support production schedules, ensuring right-first-time selection, FEFO/FIFO adherence, and timely material delivery to the point of use.</p><p>· Manage outbound shipping execution as applicable (packing, staging, documentation, carrier coordination) while maintaining cGMP and safety expectations.</p><p>· Perform and/or oversee SAP/WMS transactions required for receipts, transfers, inventory movements, and shipment activities; troubleshoot system issues and escalate as needed.</p><p>· Maintain cGMP/Good Documentation Practices and site safety requirements at all times; ensure controlled and temperature-sensitive materials are handled per procedure.</p><p>· Own warehouse documentation and standard work: create, review, revise, and/or develop SOPs and work instructions; ensure training is current and effective.</p><p>· Coordinate material handling equipment readiness (forklifts, pallet jacks, drum dollies, etc.); initiate work orders and serve as point of contact with Facilities and contractors for maintenance and repairs.</p><p>· Partner with Quality, EH&amp;S, Operations, Planning, and Procurement to resolve material issues, support audits/inspections, and execute continuous improvement initiatives (Lean/5S).</p><p>· Support hazardous waste and materials handling/disposal activities in partnership with EH&amp;S; ensure proper segregation and documentation.</p><p></p><h2><b><span>Keys to Success: </span></b></h2><p><span>Education</span></p><p>· High school diploma or equivalent required.</p><p>· College degree preferred</p><p>· Some college, associate degree, or relevant certifications acceptable.</p><p></p><p>Experience</p><p>· Minimum of 3 years of relevant warehouse, logistics, inventory, or distribution experience.</p><p>· Previous people leadership/supervisory experience strongly preferred.</p><p>· Experience in a regulated environment (pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or food) with cGMP practices preferred.</p><p></p><p>Knowledge, Skills, Abilities</p><p>· Strong understanding of cGMP requirements and material handling/storage expectations (including good documentation practices).</p><p>· Working knowledge of SAP and/or warehouse management systems; ability to execute and review transactions accurately.</p><p>· Forklift experience preferred; ability to become certified on required material handling equipment.</p><p>· Strong communication and shift-to-shift coordination skills; ability to lead through change and manage competing priorities.</p><p>· Solid PC skills (Microsoft Office applications) and comfort with KPI tracking/reporting.</p><p>· Continuous improvement mindset; Lean/5S experience is a plus.</p><p></p><p>Physical Requirements</p><p>· Mobility between buildings and warehouse areas, including exposure to inclement weather when moving between locations.</p><p>· Ability to lift up to 30 lbs on a regular basis.</p><p>· Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, drum dolly, barrel hoist, etc.).</p><p></p><p><b>Excellent Benefits</b></p><ul><li><a href="https://jobs.thermofisher.com/global/en/total-rewards" target="_blank">Benefits &amp; Total Rewards | Thermo Fisher Scientific</a></li><li>Medical, Dental, &amp; Vision benefits-effective Day 1</li><li>Paid Time Off &amp; Designated Paid Holidays</li><li>Retirement Savings Plan</li><li>Tuition Reimbursement</li></ul><p></p><p><b>OTHER</b></p><ul><li>Relocation assistance is NOT provided</li><li>Must be legally authorized to work in the United States now or in the future, <span>without sponsorship</span></li><li>Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a drug screening</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p>
