<p style="text-align:left"><b>Work Schedule</b></p>Standard (Mon-Fri)<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><b>Environmental Conditions</b></p>Office<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><b><u>Job Description</u></b></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p>The MSAT Advanced Formulation Supervisor is responsible for leading and supporting advanced formulation activities within the Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) organization.<br />The role focuses on formulation development/technology transfer, optimization, scale-up, execution and lifecycle management of pharmaceutical drug product processes, ensuring robust, compliant, and scalable solutions from development through commercial manufacturing.</p><p>This position provides technical leadership, supervises a team of MSAT scientists/specialists, and acts as a key interface between clients and internal cross-functional stakeholders (e.g. Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality etc.).</p><p></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><p><b>Technical &amp; Scientific Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Lead advanced formulation activities including development / technology transfer, optimization, and troubleshooting of drug product formulations.</li><li>Support technology transfer, scale-up, and process validation activities from development to commercial manufacturing.</li><li>Provide subject matter expertise in formulation science to support manufacturing deviations, CAPAs, change controls, and continuous improvement initiatives.</li><li>Apply scientific principles (e.g., QbD, DoE, risk assessments) to ensure robust and scalable formulations.</li><li>Support lifecycle management activities, including process optimization and introduction of new technologies.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>MSAT &amp; Manufacturing Support</b></p><ul><li>Act as MSAT technical lead for formulation-related topics during manufacturing campaigns, overseeing critical process steps and supporting real-time decision making.</li><li>Collaborate closely with Manufacturing and Quality to ensure processes are capable, reproducible, and compliant with GMP requirements.</li><li>Serve as a technical escalation point between Manufacturing, MSAT, and Quality during production activities.</li><li>Participate in investigations related to formulation or process performance issues.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Leadership &amp; Supervision</b></p><ul><li>Supervise, coach, and develop a team of MSAT formulation scientists and/or engineers.</li><li>Allocate resources and prioritize activities to meet project and manufacturing timelines.</li><li>Promote a strong safety, quality, and compliance culture within the team.</li><li>Support knowledge sharing and standardization across MSAT and the broader organization.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Minimum Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>Master’s degree or PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related scientific discipline.</li><li>Significant experience in pharmaceutical formulation development and/or MSAT within a GMP environment.</li><li>7-10 year of experience in Pharmaceutical sector and at least 2 years of people management.</li><li>Strong knowledge of drug product manufacturing processes and regulatory expectations.</li><li>Proven experience in technical problem solving and data-driven decision making.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>Experience with advanced formulation technologies (e.g., sterile products, lyophilization or complex formulations).</li><li>Experience supporting tech transfer and commercial manufacturing.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Key Competencies</b></p><ul><li>Technical leadership in formulation and MSAT activities</li><li>Strong communication and stakeholder management skills</li><li>Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and fast-paced environments</li><li>Decision-making capability in a regulated GMP setting</li><li>Coaching and people development mindset</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p>
