Work Flexibility: Onsite<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p><span>As a Staff Engineer at Stryker Neurovascular, you’ll provide technical leadership and drive innovation in the development of life-saving technologies that address critical neurovascular needs. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead validation activities for new extrusion process introductions, shaping the future of catheter design and manufacturing.</span></p><p></p><p><b>What you will do: </b></p><ul><li>Work with a multidisciplinary team to support new product and process introductions with a focus on Extrusion</li><li>Write and execute process validation protocols and reports for new product introductions and re-validations due to process /material improvements utilizing scientific / technical knowledge.</li><li>Provide Technical leadership from an engineering perspective.</li><li>Select tooling, components, and equipment</li><li>Develop extrusion specific testing and inspection protocols</li><li>Complete capital acquisition activity from specifying equipment right through to validation</li><li>Participate in PFMEA, Control Plan, SOP and PPAP generation</li></ul><p></p><p><b>What you need:</b></p><ul><li>Polymer or Mechanical Engineering bachelor's degree or relevant technical degree required</li><li>5+ years medical device design/manufacturing and/or extrusion/molding experience</li><li>Demonstrable strong analytical & problem solving skills, a process improvement orientation, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Strong understanding of plastic materials and extrusion processing</li><li>Experience of Design for Manufacturing, capability studies, verification and validation</li><li>Capable of working as part of a multi-disciplined team in an aggressive, dynamic and results motivated environment</li><li>Capable of providing technical leadership and influencing and providing technical direction to Engineers, Technicians and Operators as required</li><li>A team player, with a flexible approach</li><li>Technological expert, willing to source, investigate and implement technological and automation advances</li><li>Confident and effective decision maker, with a proven technical leadership ability to negotiate and influence others</li></ul><p><br />This role may be suitable for candidates with experience in the following roles or similar:</p><ul><li>Plastics Processing</li><li>Process Engineer</li><li>Polymer Engineer</li><li>R&D Engineer</li></ul><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p>Travel Percentage: 10%<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p>Stryker Corporation is an equal opportunity employer.
