What Business Performance Partner contributes to Cardinal Health
Operational Excellence is responsible for identifying and executing against performance improvement opportunities, enabling successful transformations across the enterprise, and using contemporary process improvement techniques while building people capabilities.
Business Performance Partner is responsible for consulting with internal or external customers and suppliers to assess current business performance, develop recommendations, and implement process improvements utilizing contemporary improvement tools.
Qualifications
- 8 to 12 years of experience in Operational Excellence (OpEx) within the manufacturing sector, preferred
- Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
- English proficiency: Advanced or fluent level
- Strong statistical and analytical skills
- Black Belt certification, preferred
- Experience with medium- to high-complexity operational improvement projects
- Extensive experience and knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and Operational Excellence methodologies
- Experience in medical device manufacturing, preferred
- Training and/or certification in Project Management (PM/PMI)
- Understanding of warehouse and production operational practices
Responsibilities
- Global Manufacturing Excellence Leaders are responsible for executing strategic objectives for operational excellence within a business segment, unit, or function, including resource selection and development, management of ongoing projects, and continuous communication regarding progress toward goals
- Activities include, among others, resource selection and development, as well as the identification, ownership, and tracking of projects that directly support GPSC global manufacturing and corporate global engineering strategies
- Works with multiple cross-functional teams, company professionals, and/or senior leadership, and takes independent action to synthesize findings, develop improvement recommendations, and lead initiatives
- Demonstrates significant experience applying world-class best practices and process improvement tools while delivering results for the business segment
- Evaluates current business performance against the Cardinal Health Medical Segment’s business strategy for a specific site, operational function, or value stream improvement
- Gathers and interprets internal and external customer requirements for a single-segment or multi-segment process and establishes optimal process parameters
- Demonstrates experience with year-over-year accountability for broad operational excellence improvement efforts
- Understands and can evaluate financial methodologies in the context of long-term cost-reduction strategies
- Collaborates with suppliers on cross-organizational improvement opportunities
- Responsible for executing Medical Segment strategic objectives by identifying and resolving complex issues and providing support and clear accountability to the Global Manufacturing Excellence team and stakeholders
- Conducts independent assessments of current business and/or functional performance within the company, utilizing fact-based investigative techniques and maintaining performance improvement metrics and industry benchmarks
- Responsible for aligning with senior leadership and other key stakeholders to develop and implement performance improvement recommendations
- The scope of the role focuses on Global Products and Supply Chain (GPSC), specifically supporting the global manufacturing segment and corporate engineering organizations
- Global Manufacturing Excellence Leaders are responsible for executing strategic objectives for operational excellence within a business segment, unit, or function, including resource selection and development, as well as project management
