<p style="text-align:left">Job Description</p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p><b>Position Overview – Basic Functions &amp; Responsibility</b> </p><p><span><b>Essential functions include but are not limited to:</b>  </span></p><p><span>We seek a strategic, product-minded leader to drive excellence and adoption of data and AI products across Commercial Data Ops, Commercial Data Analytics, and Advanced Data Analytics. The role owns end-to-end product management (problem framing, requirements analysis, roadmap planning, backlog prioritization, delivery management, value realization) and leads cross-functional change to ensure solutions are adopted and deliver measurable business impact. </span></p><p><span><b>Core Responsibilities:</b> </span></p><ul><li><p><span>Product Strategy &amp; Roadmap </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span>Define vision, value, and success metrics across data/AI products; translate business needs into use cases and user stories. </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span>Build multi-quarter roadmaps; prioritize backlog by impact, feasibility, and risk; ensure iterative delivery and value realization. </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span>Delivery Governance </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span>Manage design-to-launch delivery with stable quality. </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span>Collaborate with engineering/platform on release, monitoring, and incident response. </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span>Change Management &amp; Adoption </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span>Execute change strategies (stakeholder mapping, communications, training, reinforcement). </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span>Engage end users via pilots and feedback; clarify roles and decision rights; measure adoption and impact for continuous improvement. </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span>People Leadership </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span>Lead and develop a high-performing team of product managers and change managers; set goals, coach, and foster a culture of customer-centricity, professional excellence, and impact. </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span>Build a community of practice within the COE; drive standards, templates, and best practices in data product management and change enablement. </span></p></li></ul><p><span><b>Use Case Leadership</b> </span></p><p><span><b>Current Backlog Focus:</b> </span></p><ul><li><p><span>Engagement Suggestion: Lead the Rep Copilot product to enhance sales team customer interactions with AI-driven suggestions; ensure integration into workflows, CRM, and field tools. </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span>Territory Optimization: Productize data-driven methods to optimize territory boundaries and metrics; balance workload equity, potential. </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span>KPI Decision Acceleration: Enhance dashboards with explanations and guided insights to speed critical decisions; implement alerting and recommended actions with measurable impact. </span></p></li></ul><p><span><b>Qualifications:</b> </span></p><ul><li><p><span>Bachelor’s degree or above; MBA/advanced degree preferred. </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span>8&#43; years in data product management or commercial data analytics; proven delivery of data/AI product with hands-on experience preferred. </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span>Strong product skills (discovery, requirements, roadmap, backlog, iterative delivery) and solid understanding of data engineering/analytics. </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span>Change management experience for digital/data/AI solutions; stakeholder engagement, communications, training, adoption measurement. </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span>Excellent analytical problem-solving; strong collaboration and influence across</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Required Skills:</b></p>Business Case Development, Business Data Analytics, Business Intelligence (BI), Client-Centric, Commercial Analytics, Communication, Database Design, Data Engineering, Data Modeling, Data Science, Data Visualization, Delivery Management, Leadership, Machine Learning (ML), Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&amp;M), Problem Framing, Product Lifecycle, Product Management, Product Roadmap, Product Strategies, Reinforcement, Software Development, Stakeholder Engagement, Stakeholder Relationship Management, Waterfall Model<p></p><p><b>Preferred Skills:</b></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left">Current Employees apply <a href="https://wd5.myworkday.com/msd/d/task/1422$6687.htmld" target="_blank">HERE</a></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left">Current Contingent Workers apply <a href="https://wd5.myworkday.com/msd/d/task/1422$4020.htmld" target="_blank">HERE</a></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><b>Search Firm Representatives Please Read Carefully </b><br />Merck &amp; Co., Inc., Rahway, NJ, USA, also known as Merck Sharp &amp; Dohme LLC, Rahway, NJ, USA, does not accept unsolicited assistance from search firms for employment opportunities.
