We are passionate, deliberate, and driven by our mission – to enable our customers to make the world healthier, safer, and cleaner.</p><p></p><p>Within our Analytical Services team, we have a functional service provider solution, which is a unique partnership that allows our customers to leverage the experience of our staff, while allowing you, the employee, to gain direct experience working onsite at a pharmaceutical/ biopharmaceutical company, all while maintaining full-time benefits.</p><p></p><p><b>Summarized Purpose</b><br />This role within Vaccines R&amp;D requires specialized trade compliance and international logistics support to manage the end-to-end processing of international shipment requests in support of research and development activities.</p><p>The purpose of this engagement is to ensure regulatory compliance, operational continuity, and continuous improvement of import/export processes supporting our clients Vaccines R&amp;D.</p><p><b>Essential Functions:</b></p><ul><li>Manage U.S. import clearance activities, including coordination with customs brokers.</li><li>Ensure compliance with Participating Government Agency (PGA) requirements, including but not limited to:<ul><li>U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP)</li><li>Food and Drug Administration (FDA)</li><li>U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA)</li><li>Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)</li></ul></li><li>Maintain controlled records for:<ul><li>Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTSUS) classifications</li><li>Non-preferential country of origin determinations</li><li>Customs valuation support documentation</li></ul></li><li>Respond to broker inquiries and resolve entry exceptions.</li><li>Monitor and track import entries, post-entry corrections, and compliance reporting.</li></ul><p>Export Compliance &amp; Shipment Processing</p><ul><li>Conduct export compliance checks, including:<ul><li>Restricted party screening</li><li>Export license determination</li><li>Controlled substance verification</li></ul></li><li>Perform dangerous goods (DG) assessments in accordance with applicable transport regulations.</li><li>Prepare and review shipping documentation, including:<ul><li>Commercial invoices</li><li>Packing lists</li><li>Other regulatory or courier-required documentation</li></ul></li></ul><p>Broker Management &amp; Special Projects</p><ul><li>Ensure broker adherence to internal standard operating procedures (SOPs).</li><li>Support automation, digitization, and KPI improvement initiatives related to:<ul><li>Trade compliance</li><li>Shipment processing workflows</li></ul></li></ul><p> Compliance Monitoring &amp; Continuous Improvement</p><ul><li>Conduct post-clearance reviews and management monitoring activities.</li><li>Perform root cause analysis of shipment exceptions and compliance issues.</li><li>Propose and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).</li><li>Contribute to process optimization and operational risk mitigation.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><u>Education and Experience:</u></b><b><u>  </u></b></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in:<ul><li>Import/export operations</li><li>Regulatory compliance</li></ul></li><li>Experience with: Trade compliance, Logistics or supply chain operations</li></ul><p></p><p><b><i>In some cases, an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.</i></b></p><p></p><p><b><u>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: </u></b></p><ul><li>Experience with:<ul><li>Ariba</li><li>SAP or similar ERP systems</li><li>Compliance tracking tools</li><li>Courier booking platforms</li><li>Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.</li></ul></li></ul><p></p><p>Benefits</p><p>We offer competitive remuneration, annual incentive plan bonus, healthcare, and a range of employee benefits.
