Job Description:
The Sr Finance Manager, CFM Corporate, Vision Care Americas and Surgical Vision Global will lead the CFM and controllership agenda for Corporate, Vision Care Americas and Surgical Vision Global from Bogotá. This highly visible leadership role is accountable for the integrity of actuals, financial reporting excellence, and end-to-end close execution across a complex regional and global portfolio. As the senior authority on actuals, the leader partners with senior Finance stakeholders to drive strong governance, actionable insights, and informed business decisions. The role leads a senior finance organization, mobilizes the broader A2R and GSF network across the Americas, and drives operational excellence, risk mitigation, and the development of a scalable, high-performing finance organization.
Core Accountabilities
- Own controllership of actuals for the assigned portfolio and serve as the lead authority on financial results, ensuring accurate, complete, timely and decision-ready reporting under US GAAP and applicable company policies.
- Lead the end-to-end close governance, including pre-close readiness, closing calendar execution, trial balance review, income statement and balance sheet reviews, cash flow analysis, risk assessment, financial commentary, BRAVO submissions and final close sign-off or green-light within the defined governance model.
- Translate financial results into clear insights for Finance Directors, CFOs, FP&A and business leaders, explaining key drivers, identifying risks and opportunities, and recommending practical actions that protect financial integrity and improve business outcomes.
- Act as the primary senior Global Services Finance partner for the assigned businesses, building trusted relationships and serving as the right hand to sector and regional Finance leadership on actuals, accounting, controls, reporting and transformation matters.
- Lead through influence across A2R, GSF, FP&A, Business Unit Finance, Tax, Treasury, Compliance, Corporate Services and other process teams to resolve issues, clarify ownership, strengthen handoffs and deliver integrated end-to-end outcomes.
- Establish disciplined risk and issue management, including early identification, materiality assessment, executive communication, root-cause analysis, remediation plans, clear accountability and follow-through to sustainable closure.
- Maintain a strong control environment, ensure SOX compliance and audit readiness, and coordinate timely responses to internal and external audit requests and remediation actions.
- Shape the future-state organization by defining capabilities, governance, ways of working, talent needs and scalable service-delivery practices, while protecting business continuity during transitions.
- Drive simplification, standardization, automation and digital enablement across the portfolio, challenging legacy practices and converting improvement opportunities into implemented, sustainable solutions.
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team, setting clear expectations, building technical and leadership capability, strengthening succession pipelines and fostering inclusion, accountability, collaboration and continuous learning.
Scope-Specific Mandate
- For Corporate, oversee actuals and reporting for complex corporate and functional activities, including allocations, centrally managed costs, organizational changes, capital and other enterprise-level transactions or programs.
- For Vision Care Americas, provide regional controllership and business partnership across markets, connecting commercial performance, working capital, inventory and local market considerations to reliable financial results.
- For Surgical Vision Global, coordinate global close and reporting across regions, ensuring consistent consolidation inputs, visibility of global risks and opportunities, and effective interaction among regional finance teams, including shaping and improving the current operating model.
- Lead high-quality balance-sheet, P&L, cash-flow and risk reviews tailored to each portfolio, and synthesize diverse issues into concise executive messages and prioritized action plans.
- Support transformation and system deployments affecting Corporate and Vision businesses, ensuring that redesigned processes and reporting solutions preserve controls, data integrity and stakeholder usability.
Key Stakeholder Relationships
- Corporate, Vision Care Americas and Surgical Vision global CFOs, Finance Directors, Controllers, BUF and FP&A leaders.
- Regional and global A2R and GSF delivery teams, consolidation teams, CFM peers and process owners.
- Corporate Reporting, Tax, Treasury, Compliance, Internal Audit and External Audit.
- Commercial, supply-chain, capital, technology and transformation stakeholders relevant to each portfolio.
Leadership and Change Expectations
- Demonstrate executive presence and communicate complex accounting and financial topics with clarity, confidence and appropriate judgment for senior audiences.
- Navigate ambiguity and competing priorities across countries, functions and time zones, making sound decisions while balancing accuracy, speed, risk and stakeholder needs.
- Lead organizational and process change with a structured, people-centered approach, helping teams and stakeholders understand the case for change, adopt new ways of working and sustain performance through transition.
- Create an environment where team members understand the business, connect their work to enterprise outcomes, raise risks early and contribute ideas that improve the operating model.
- Model integrity, accountability, inclusive leadership and constructive challenge, reinforcing a culture where issues are surfaced transparently and resolved collaboratively.
- Support the evolution from a primarily CFM-focused model toward integrated CFM and Legal Entity controllership, bringing together management reporting, statutory and legal-entity perspectives where the future operating model requires it.
- Help define the governance, role clarity, capability plan and transition roadmap required to integrate Legal Entity Controller responsibilities without weakening core CFM ownership of actuals or business partnership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field required; postgraduate degree or MBA preferred.
- CPA, CMA or equivalent professional accounting qualification preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive finance experience, with significant depth in controllership, accounting, external or management reporting, financial analysis and complex matrix organizations.
- At least 5 years of people-leadership experience, including demonstrated success developing managers and/or senior individual contributors and building high-performing teams.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP required; practical exposure to IFRS and/or local GAAP, statutory reporting, tax coordination and legal-entity accounting strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience supporting North American markets or senior North American stakeholders strongly preferred.
- English proficiency at C1 level or equivalent, with the ability to lead executive meetings, negotiations and presentations and to produce clear, nuanced written communication.
- Experience with SAP and enterprise financial reporting environments; and exposure to CFIN, BRAVO, TM1/EPM, BlackLine/Cadency, Power BI, Alteryx, UiPath or similar tools is an advantage.
- Availability to collaborate across North American and global time zones and to travel domestically or internationally as business needs require.
Critical Capabilities

- Executive business partnering and stakeholder influence
- Strategic thinking and organization shaping
- Risk identification, judgment and decisive issue resolution
- Financial storytelling and executive communication
- People leadership, coaching and succession development
- Cross-functional and cross-cultural leadership through influence

- Process standardization, digital fluency and continuous improvement
- Business acumen, intellectual curiosity and learning agility
Preferred Experience for This Portfolio
- Experience managing a mixed portfolio spanning corporate functions, regional commercial businesses and global business units.
- Strong background in global consolidation and cross-regional governance, with the ability to distinguish corporate, commercial and product-business drivers.
- Knowledge of inventory, capital, allocations, intercompany, working capital and global reporting considerations is highly valued.
Success Profile
The successful candidate will combine the rigor of a controller, the perspective of a strategic finance partner and the leadership of an organization builder. This leader will be equally comfortable challenging an accounting conclusion, guiding a CFO through risks and opportunities, mobilizing multiple execution teams, developing talent and shaping a scalable future-state model from Bogotá.
