This role ensures the quality and compliance of scientific and medical documents, aligning publication initiatives with organizational goals and medical strategic imperatives. This individual will work closely with key opinion leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure that our scientific data is effectively communicated to healthcare professionals and the broader medical community. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in scientific communications, publications planning, and medical affairs.</span></p> <p><strong><u><span style="font-size: 14px;">Responsibilities</span></u></strong></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Advance and execute the publication plan for acoramidis clinical data, ensuring alignment with medical strategic objectives and compliance with industry best practices (e.g., GPP, ICMJE, PRISMA, CONSORT, etc)</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Lead the timely development, review, and submission of scientific publications, including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, presentations, and plain language summaries</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Collaborate closely with internal cross-functional teams, external authors, and agency partners to develop high-quality, high-impact scientific publications</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Drive the development of medical communication strategies and materials to support medical affairs team and cross-functional partners, including internal training and publication extenders</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Maintain updated Scientific Communication Platform and other internal resources</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Manage agency partners and budget for scientific communications and publication activities, optimizing resource allocation for maximum impact</span></li> </ul> <p><strong><u><span style="font-size: 14px;">Where You’ll Work</span></u></strong><u><span style="font-size: 14px;"> </span></u></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">For candidates based in the SF Bay Area, this is a hybrid role with in-office collaboration 2x per week in our San Francisco Office</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">For candidates outside the SF Bay Area, this is a U.S-based remote role with travel approximately once per month</span></li> </ul> <p><strong><u><span style="font-size: 14px;">Who You Are</span></u></strong></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent) in life sciences, medicine, or related field</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">7+ years of experience in scientific publications or medical communications, within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Proven track record of leading publication strategies and delivering high-impact peer-reviewed publications and congress materials</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Deep understanding of scientific writing, data interpretation, and statistical concepts related to clinical research</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Familiarity with publication management systems (eg: iEnvision) and strong knowledge of industry guidelines and best practices (GPP, ICMJE, etc)</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Preferred:</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">CMPP certification</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Experience in cardiology and/or rare diseases</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Prior medical writing experience</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 14px;"><span data-olk-copy-source="MessageBody">You have demonstrated curiosity and adaptability in adopting AI-powered tools and technologies</span></span></li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Rewarding Those Who Make the Mission Possible</u></strong></p> <p>We have high expectations for our team members.
