Responsible for driving financial insights, enterprise-wide offerings, and business alignment to deliver on commercial programs. </p><p>This role will report to the Vice President, Finance and matrix into the President, Customer and Commercial Excellence.   </p><p><b>What will you do?</b><br />As a Sr. Finance Director, you will lead a team to provide business and analytical support for the Customer and Commercial Excellence (C&amp;CE) teams thru the following:</p><p><b>Finance Business Partnering</b></p><ul><li>Provide direct business partnership to President, C&amp;CE and his Leadership Team.</li><li>Support the 4 distinct teams within C&amp;CE: Corporate Accounts, Customer Experience, Customer Marketing, and Global Financial Services.</li><li>Lead the financial and business processes for C&amp;CE teams including: monthly close, quarterly business reviews, annual operating plan and program account selection.</li><li>Establish and improve performance metrics to assist with business evaluation and decision-making.</li><li>Oversee corporate-wide incentive program.  Lead end to end deal modeling, incentive structure, approval process, and accounting support.</li><li>Monitor Marketing creative shared service model to ensure staffing is aligned with business demand.  Evaluate annual billable rate: benchmark against external services and market services to improve utilization across the enterprise.</li><li>Partner with Financial Services to strategically leverage the balance sheet to increase share gain opportunities while managing the risk profile to ensure collections are timely.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Organizational Development</b></p><ul><li>Led a team of 13 finance professionals.</li><li>Recruit, retain and develop high-performing Finance professionals.  Provide leadership, coaching and career development.</li><li>Drive and foster relationships with divisional colleagues. </li><li>Remove barriers to execution across processes and drives alignment across organization to accomplish commercial goals.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Business Analytics &amp; Data Visualization </b></p><ul><li>Drive finance strategy for Customer and Commercial Excellence.  Includes prioritization of tools and projects, preparing and delivering digital roadmap and driving reporting, insights and thought leadership.</li><li>Partner with Corporate IT to deliver enterprise-wide customer reporting including close collaboration with divisional finance teams to ensure reliable and up to date reporting.</li><li>Leverage BI tools to expand reporting capabilities including revenue, bookings, pricing and Accounts Receivable.</li><li>Owns and continuously develops strategies that support our customer programs, partnering with the Thermo Fisher IT organization.  Develop and deliver customer KPIs that measure Thermo Fisher’s value creation.</li></ul><p></p><ul><li>Travel up to 10%; this role will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Waltham, MA, or Raleigh NC.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>How will you get here?</b></p><ul><li>You have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or other relevant area; MBA preferred</li><li>You have at least 10&#43; years of progressive finance experience; previous supervisory experience required.</li><li>You possess advanced analytical capabilities with proven financial modeling skills utilizing MS Excel, Power BI and Hyperion Financial Management &amp; Planning</li><li>You can communicate effectively (both written and verbal) with all levels of the organization.</li><li>You thrive in a matrixed environment and are able to work cross-functionally.</li><li>You keep an eye toward continuous improvement with a successful track record of optimizing processes.</li><li>Individual must possess high level of integrity and ethics, strong business acumen, and well-developed analytical skills.
