Join our colleagues in bringing our Mission to life every single day to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.</p><p>The Senior Manager, Commercial Excellence will partner with the VP, Commercial and Regional Commercial leaders across the globe to ensure the successful implementation of a best-in-class commercial ecosystem and operating model. You will work collaboratively with various departments to deploy commercial operating models and processes that align with the Clinical Next-Generation Sequencing Division’s strategic objectives, driving a continuous improvement in culture across the commercial teams.</p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Serve as a strategic thought partner to VP of Commercial of CSD translating regional growth priorities into actionable sales operations strategies that drive revenue acceleration, operational rigor, and predictable execution.</li><li>Enable decision-making for regional sales leaders through proactive insights, delivering forward-looking analytics, performance narratives, and scenario modeling that support territory optimization, pipeline health, and investment prioritization.</li><li>Partner with our COE’s and Marketing Teams to implement and deploy process excellence in commercial execution and channel customer engagement.</li><li>Partner with the Sales Training team to ensure they provide training and ongoing support to ensure successful adoption of new commercial excellence tools and establish certified practitioners.</li><li>Drive commercial initiatives across the division to ensure projects meet business objectives and are accomplished on time and within budget.</li><li>Track performance, find opportunities for continuous improvement, and implement changes to enhance the operating model. Maintain detailed documentation of commercial excellence tools and changes made.</li><li>Support the commercial teams in solving critical problems, using problem-solving and kaizen methodology.</li><li>Lead the sales force effectiveness initiatives to ensure global visibility to actionable data for the sales organization.</li><li>Optimize and manage effective and efficient operating mechanisms for the Commercial leadership team to establish a scalable operations platform to ensure aggressive execution, efficiency, profitability, and compliance across the division.</li><li>Launch and lead a pricing committee globally for CSD while developing standard practices, KPI dashboard, and guidelines to be implemented across the regions.</li><li>Serve as a thought partner in commercial excellence tools, supporting the adoption and deployment of Thermo Fisher Scientific tools and demeanor across the regions.</li><li>Willingness to travel 25%-50% domestically and internationally as required.</li></ul><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><p>Education</p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree required with a focus in Business or a related field preferred. MBA degree is preferred.</li><li>Certification as a trainer or facilitator and certified practitioner in lean tools is highly preferred</li></ul><p>Experience</p><ul><li>12 plus years of relatable experience</li><li>4+ years of commercial experience with a consistent track record of driving processes to achieve results required, ideally with experience as a sales representative or sales leader in a regulatory environment within Healthcare, Med Tech, Pharma, or Life Sciences</li><li>3+ years confirmed experience with the core tools of visual management, problem solving, and kaizen at a company focused on continuous improvement required</li><li>Experience with demand forecasting is preferred</li><li>Extensive experience with Salesforce.com, Seibel, and CRM (funnel management, dashboards) required.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using tools such as MS Excel and Power BI to visualize sales data required. SAP knowledge preferred.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in a large and complex organization in a biotech or clinical healthcare industry preferred.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate a sophisticated, matrix organization, optimally convey new concepts, tools and strategies, and tailor communications according to the audience is required.</li><li>Capacity to navigate ambiguity and uncertainty, consistently demonstrating a growth mindset and resilience in the face of obstacles is required.</li><li>Shown success in driving business impact through continuous improvement and Kaizen initiatives, particularly in commercial organizations and in a fast-changing environment is required.</li></ul><p></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><u><b>Compensation</b></u></p>The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $130,000.00–$175,000.00.<p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p>
