As part of the global Salesforce support team, this position is responsible for delivering high-quality end-user support, troubleshooting technical issues, managing platform configurations, and maintaining data integrity across multiple Salesforce environments.</p><p>The role supports business users across the North America time zone, requiring flexibility to work night shifts (9 PM – 6 AM IST).</p><p>The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in both Salesforce administration and development, with hands-on experience using modern Salesforce tools and technologies. These include Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, Apex, Flows, Visual Studio Code, SFDX, Copado CI/CD, Git, and integration platforms such as MuleSoft or Databricks.</p></div><div><p><u>Roles &amp; Responsibilities:</u>  </p><ul><li>Act as the primary technical expert and point of contact for all Salesforce platform support activities across multiple Salesforce environments</li><li>Maintain, monitor, and support both production and non-production Salesforce instances to ensure optimal performance and stability</li><li>Manage and coordinate all aspects of the release process, including code integration, sandbox refreshes, deployment planning, and post-release support</li><li>Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement security protocols, ensure platform security posture, respond to vulnerabilities and audit findings and alignment with Amgen’s governance, security, and compliance frameworks</li><li>Support and maintain integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise platforms such as AWS, MuleSoft, and other third-party systems.</li><li>Ensure platform compliance with GxP and other regulatory requirements specific to the pharmaceutical industry</li><li>Participate actively in PI Planning, Sprint Planning, and other SAFe Agile ceremonies to ensure full visibility and accountability across deliverables</li><li>Uphold platform scalability, reusability, and future-readiness by recommending standard methodologies and reusable frameworks</li><li>Research Salesforce capabilities as needed to suit business requirements, and provide gap analysis </li></ul><ul><li>Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, QA analysts, and project managers to deliver high-quality solutions</li></ul><ul><li>Develop innovative solutions using generative AI technologies </li></ul><ul><li>Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices </li></ul><ul><li>Create and maintain documentation on software architecture, design, deployment, disaster recovery, and operations </li></ul><ul><li>Design, develop, and implement applications and modules, including custom reports, interfaces, and enhancements </li></ul><ul><li>Analyze and understand the functional and technical requirements of applications, solutions and systems and translate them into software architecture and design specifications </li><li>Strong understanding of Salesforce data model, security, and automation tools</li></ul><ul><li>Identify and resolve software bugs and performance issues </li><li>Monitor platform health, perform routine audits, and ensure system uptime and data integrity</li><li>Provide production support for Salesforce platforms to ensure efficient and uninterrupted service for all system users</li></ul><p><u>Basic Qualifications and Experience:</u> </p><ul><li>Master’s degree of Computer Science and 3 to 6 years, IT or related field experience OR </li></ul><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree of Computer Science and 5 to 8 years, IT or related field experience OR </li></ul><ul><li>Diploma of Computer Science and 7 to 10 years, IT or related field experience </li></ul><p></p><p><u>Functional Skills:</u> </p><p><b>Must-Have Skills (Not more than 3 to 4):</b> </p><ul><li>3&#43; years of experience as a Salesforce Engineer with expertise in Salesforce Administration and Operations Support</li></ul><ul><li>In-depth knowledge of Salesforce development includes declarative and programmatic solutions</li></ul><ul><li>Hands-on experience with the Salesforce security model, including OWD, sharing rules, profiles, and permissions</li><li>Experience supporting Salesforce products such as Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or Experience Cloud</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Good/Nice-to-Have Skills:</b> </p><ul><li>Proficient in SOQL, Apex, JavaScript, LWC and other relevant programming languages. </li></ul><ul><li>Experience integrating off-platform solutions like MuleSoft, AWS or other enterprise middleware technologies</li><li>Proven experience developing and managing Salesforce CI/CD pipelines using SFDX, ANT, or packaged solutions like Copado. </li></ul><ul><li>Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts, Git, integration methodologies, and relevant technologies. </li></ul></div></div><div><div><p><u>Professional Certifications (please mention if the certification is preferred or mandatory for the role):</u> </p><ul><li>Salesforce Administrator (Mandatory)</li><li>Salesforce Platform Builder (preferred)</li></ul><ul><li>Salesforce Developer 1 (preferred)</li></ul><ul><li>Copado Fundamentals I/II (Admin / Developer) (preferred)</li></ul><p><u>Soft Skills:</u> </p><ul><li>Excellent critical-thinking and problem-solving skills  </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Effective collaboration in cross-functional and distributed teams</li><li>Strong initiative and self-drive in a dynamic environment</li><li>Ability to handle and prioritize numerous tasks effectively</li><li>High attention to detail and commitment to quality</li><li>Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, evolving technical landscape</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to collaborate with QA, compliance, validation, and security teams</li></ul><ul><li>Strong presentation and public speaking skills </li></ul></div></div><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p>.
