<h2><b>Career Category</b></h2>Operations<h2></h2><h2><b>Job Description</b></h2><ul><li><div>Job Description</div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p><b><u>Accountabilities</u></b></p><p>To the Manager or Sr. Manager, R&amp;D Business Operations</p><p>To one or more VP-level functional leads as a trusted partner for delivering financial forecasts</p><p>•Support of the on-time and quality delivery of the end-to-end process of budget execution for one or more key VP-level R&amp;D functions (Annual Budget Planning, Quarterly Forecast Updates)</p><p>•Collect and reflect the organization’s prioritization of activities in budget projections rolling into financial forecasts</p><p>•Contribute to Financial Analytics and Periodic financial deliverables/exercises</p><p><b><u>Responsibilities</u></b></p><p>•Support of the on-time and quality delivery of the end-to-end process of budget execution for one or more key VP-level R&amp;D functions (Annual Budget Planning, Quarterly Forecast Updates, Leadership Updates)</p><p>•Support the functional lead in connecting with functional SLT members to ensure forecasts reflect the latest thinking</p><p>•Resolution of escalated P2P issues</p><p>•Ensure up-to-date mapping of transactions to planned activities in budget planning system</p><p>•Execute quarter-end efforts for accruals, PO Maintenance</p><p>•Partner closely with R&amp;D Finance planner to explain variances, emerging trends</p><p>•Contribute to feedback on corporate finance initiatives to provide business partner perspective</p><p>•Serve as an experienced user of all financial planning and reporting systems</p><p>•Deliver ad hoc analytics within specific areas/categories</p><p></p><p>Qualifications</p><p><i>The knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties of this position are typically acquired  through the following combination of education, experience and knowledge, or the equivalent.</i></p><p></p><p>Minimum Requirements</p><p>ŸMaster’s degree</p><p>OR</p><p>ŸBachelor’s degree &amp; 2 years of Biotech/Pharma-related Management experience in business operations or financial analytics</p><p>OR</p><p>•Associate’s Degree &amp; 6 years of Biotech/Pharma-related Management experience in business operations or financial analytics</p><p>•</p><p>Preferred Requirements</p><p>•Advanced degree in either business, finance or life sciences</p><p>•Experience working with supported function in particular</p><p>•Work experience in a financial or budget role</p><p>•6 years work experience in cross functional teams</p><p>•Demonstrated proficiency with data visualization tools (Tableau) and collaboration tools (Smartsheet, Miro, MS Teams)</p><p>•Fluent with MS Office suite and advance capabilities in Excel</p><p>•Experience with enterprise tools SAP, Ariba, Anaplan</p><p>Competencies</p><p>•Ability to thrive working with detailed information and drawing key insights from trends</p><p>•Ability to thrive in a complex and matrixed environment, to collaborate and coordinate with individuals at various levels and from different backgrounds</p><p>•Ability to influence others effectively and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously</p><p>•Excellent Communicator, both oral and written</p><p>•Strong presentation skills</p><p>•Technical expert who can navigate multiple systems</p><p>•Critical thinking and capable of creative problem solving</p><p>•Natural builder of relationships with stakeholders and partners alike</p><p>•Role model for others in line with the Amgen Values</p><p>•Deep focus on customer service through solution delivery</p><p>•Critical thinking &amp; creative problem solving</p><p>•Keen attention to detail</p><p>•Ability to follow corporate guidance on accounting principles and compliance issues</p><p>•Flexibility amongst a changing environment</p><p>Ability to quickly meet deliverables on tight timelines</p></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></li><li></li></ul><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p>.
