<h2><b>Career Category</b></h2>Finance<h2></h2><h2><b>Job Description</b></h2><p><b><u>Role Description:</u></b></p><p>Amgen is looking for a highly motivated <b>Sr. Associate Finance</b> to serve as a member of the <b>Operations Financial Planning and Analysis team (FP&amp;A)</b> that supports <b>Amgen Rhode Island Site (US).   </b></p><p>In this role, you will be responsible for handling <b>budgeting</b>, <b>forecasting</b>, and <b>reporting</b> of critical functions within the site; along with <b>capital planning</b> and <b>costing activities</b>.  This role is expected to partner with functional site clients to ensure <b>accurate and timely forecast submissions and monthly reporting.</b></p><p></p><p><b><u>Roles &amp; Responsibilities</u></b></p><p></p><ul><li><p>Support business <b>planning and decision making through financial analysis</b></p></li><li><p><b>Partner </b>with <b>project control</b> team to support <b>capital projects planning, analysis and reporting</b>, including <b>depreciation and project expenses </b>planning.</p></li><li><p>Perform month-end, quarter-end, year-end <b>closing activities</b> including <b>accruals and journal entries</b>, perform <b>variance analysis.</b></p></li><li><p>Monthly actuals financial reporting</p></li><li><p>Perform, compile and analyze ad hoc requests</p></li><li><p>Support <b>transformational initiatives</b> through <b>automation and financial process improvements.</b></p></li><li><p>Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support site objectives as required.</p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b><u>Basic Qualifications and Experience:</u></b></p><p></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s degree and 4&#43; years of experience in finance, accounting, or related fields</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><u>Functional Skills:</u></b></p><p></p><p><b>Must have skills: </b></p><ul><li><p>Relevant experience in <b>financial planning and analysis</b>, <b>accounting</b>, and <b>manufacturing </b>industry</p></li><li><p>Strong <b>analytical skills</b> with the ability to analyze data and present results in a clear and concise manner.</p></li><li><p><b>Capital planning</b> experience.</p></li><li><p>Experience with <b>SAP </b>or other <b>large ERP</b> and consolidation tools and <b>Hyperion </b>planning system</p></li><li><p>Proficient with MS Office systems, particularly Excel and Power Point and visualization tools</p></li><li><p>Detail oriented and able to handle fast paced environment while delivering timely results</p></li></ul><p><b>Good to have skills:</b></p><ul><li><p><b>Data analytics </b>or<b> data visualization and dashboard </b>experience (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Smartsheet, Alteryx, SQL)</p></li><li><p>Standard<b> Costing</b></p></li><li><p>Understand <b>Continuous improvement</b> concepts</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><u>Soft Skills:</u></b></p><ul><li><p>Strong <b>problem-solving and analytical skills</b>.</p></li><li><p>Excellent <b>verbal and written communication</b> skills.</p></li><li><p>Ability to <b>work cross-functionally</b> and influence stakeholders.</p></li><li><p>Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills (English)</p></li><li><p>Energetic, detailed oriented, highly motivated with a “can do” outlook</p></li></ul><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p>.
